wayneman
I recently ordered a kit of a Dodge Challenger. When it arrived I was really dissapointed to find that it had no engine. It was a "curbside build". When I read the description online it didn't say anything to clue me into this and I was wondering how I can assure that I don't make the same mistake twice. I have returned to the hobby after a lot of time off. It used to be that all kits had engines!! I normally order from Tower. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Harry P.
Easy: Ask here first!
Jordan White
Ask here! But yeah, there are two versions of the new Challenger out, the AMT (which you have) which is a curbside, and the Revell, which is fully detailed. What you should have done is gone to a few different sites to get an idea of what the kit includes.
Guest 85Biarittz
Also check topic's in the New Kit Review. Some post pictures of the sprues so you can see whats in a kit.
John Truby
My advice: Buy the new Revell Dodge Challenger. Get yourself a copy of the Oct. '09 of that "other magazine" Then you'll have both. One with an engine and one without and reference material also. John

wayneman
Thanks for the responses guys. I really should have been more careful. I had seen people here show their work and say it was a curbside build, but I thought that they were just leaving the engine out on purpose and maybe saving it for another kit. It really didn't occur to me that anyone would sell a kit without an engine. I guess a lot has changed since I was a regular in the hobby. Kris Morgan
Like the others said, you can ask here. The members here will be happy to help. Also, do not hesitate to ask the seller any questions.

WAYNE An idea / suggestion....."count your blessings"......curbsides are a great way to experiment.....you can try outrageous things and not "clobber" a full boat glue kit....and if you've seen some of the work in Under Glass you would be very impressed.....beyond that someone here said....get the Revell kit too!!!!......That's everything you need!!!
