whale392
Anybody have any real, good, clear pics of the 3406 variants of the Caterpillar engine handy and willing to share? I have hit up most of the links listed elsewhere here and all the Google imaging/searching with minimal results. I need to see how the oiling system and the injector pump are run/fitted. I have the fuel manifold (the 6 injector lines from the pump to the injectors) built, but how does the pump get its' fuel. Where do the feed lines hook up to? Turbo oiling I have, but how about the rest? Help a crazy detail a KW W900 Aerodyne if you can! This is what you get when you let a car guy build a truck model. Jim B
Here, don't reinvent the wheel. This might help get you started: 3406 Detailng. Did you try Truck Paper? Sometimes there are decent engine pics. Edited March 17, 2010 by Jim B
whale392
Pics are gone Jim, but I do appreciate the info you provided. It did have an issue number, so I can see if anybody has one laying around.

whale392
Still shows a red X and just a pic description Jim. I wonder if I would get shot or arrested if I wore a shirt to the local truck stop with the print saying 'Show me your CAT' on the front? whale392
As of this morning, the pics are working for me now! Thanks a Bunch, as that has been the most help I have found. Most pics I come across are of the 'E' variant; very few of the 'A' or 'B' version (like the one in the AeroDyne KW kit). That helps immensely............thank you!
