1/43 scale resin kits?

Recommended Posts

Resin, what kind of resin?...F1, road cars, sports car?...You should give a search to some makers like, Feeling 43, Tameo, BBR, Starter, Provence Moulage, Reinassance, etc and then you will get some interesting sites.

You can check this site from a Japanese modeler who has real interesting stuff here:

http://gdist43.com/

And this site from this Japanese Master Modeler who makes unbelivable model in 1/43:

Check where it says CAR MODELS and you will be impressed!

Anyone out there into 1/43 scale resin kits? I collect and build mainly 1/43 scale. I also have many race kits, 1/12, 1/24, 1/25. Like Ferrari, Formula 1, Le Mans subjects. Anyone else?

Yup, I enjoy building them. I haven't in quite a while as I'm disabled and on a fixed income, so unless I find one at a really good price, I don't anymore. My Gallery pics "Builds" have three of them; '64 Ferrari 275P, '63 Saab 96 Monte Carlo Rallye winner, and Bob Tullius' Group44 '75 Jaguar XK-12. I have some others I'm building for friends including a trio of Porsche 908's, a 935, and the Group44 Jag XJ-12.

Thanks for the replies. I like Ferraris, road and race, Most Formula 1. I have a few kits for sale or trade. I'm looking for an Italeri Ferrari 250 SWB. Also, any 1/43. Anyone have any for sale or trade?

It looks like your like your best fit will be to look for both BBR and Tameo kits. In the past week I did a searche in the Tameo page for retaliers in UK, US, Germay, Italy, and Canada and I got the best prices with a store in UK. For BBR, you can take a look in their webpage for shops and also on Ebay. 1/43 kits are ones that when you get it, you won't look back to 1/24 for anything. I hope this help you a lot better.

Good luck

I build all three popular scales: 1/24; 1/20 and 1/43. I'm about to start on a simple, all-metal 1/43 model of the FWD Ferguson F1 car that was driven by Stirling Moss. I especially like resin and metal models of older British, Italian and French race cars. They look like little jewels on the shelf, and some are amazingly detailed with metal castings and PE. Some of the best ones are also truly unaffordable - like $350!

On the whole, I think car modeling is more popular in Europe than it is here. Despite 1/43's small size, or maybe because of it, it's the preferred scale in Europe. European homes and apartments are generally smaller than those in the U.S., so display space could be a factor.

There's also a HUGE range of cars and liveries available in 1/43 resin, far more than you can get in 1/24 plastic. To see a few zillion 1/43 kits, try this search on French eBay: http://jouets-figurine.shop.ebay.fr/i.html?_nkw=&_sacat=17037&Mati%C3%A8re=Plastique%7CR%C3%A9sine&defsort=12&Sous%252DType=F1%252C%2520F3000%7CLe%2520Mans%7CPassager%7CRallye&Caract%C3%A9ristiques=Emballage%2520d%2527Origine&Echelle=1%252F43%7C1%252F25%7C1%252F24%7C1%252F20&Type=Voitures%7CV%C3%A9hicules%2520du%2520Tour%2520de%2520France%7CVoiture%253A%2520F1%252C%2520F3000%7CVoiture%253A%2520LeMans%7CVoiture%253A%2520passager%7CVoiture%253A%2520rallye%7C!&_dmpt=FR_YO_Jeux_VehiculesMiniaturesCircuits_VehiculesMiniatures&_odkw=&_osacat=17037&LH_ClassifyToggle=0&_trksid=m194&ssPageName=STRK:MEFSRCHX:SRCH

Much as I enjoy the big scales and the AF, MCM and SMC forums, I'd also like to find a forum that focuses on Euro racers and/or 1/43 kits.

Any suggestions?
