BOSWELL891 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Nice I really like the colors and the engine looks great too. Well done
High octane Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Nice job on that gasser as that two-toned paint looks great.
turn1wonder Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I built that kit before, but no where near as well as you have! Bob
Ry4ns302 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 i think it came out great! On a side not:I just thought about it yesterday...I've never seen a lowrider model up on 3 wheels, and started elanorating to myself the additional detail of it all. It was fun to think about, and I just saw your avatar! Sick man!
Dyno Davo Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Great model, the colors work perfectly. The stance looks cool
Olds Rocket 88 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Very Nice.. and nice color choice too,,!!
krazyglu Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Frank I like your style a lot man. You always build cool interesting auto's that I happen to love. I really like the color choice and two tone you did. Now I actually just bought this kit with the intentions of starting it next. You say it was a pain.....could you elaborate a little. Just curious as to what problems I might encounter along the way On a side not:I just thought about it yesterday...I've never seen a lowrider model up on 3 wheels, and started elanorating to myself the additional detail of it all. It was fun to think about, and I just saw your avatar! Sick man! That is actually quite funny as I built a '67 impala lowrider three wheeling about 13 years ago when I was a teen. One of the only models I still have from my past. As far as the additional detail it took, well ha I put a longer rear spring on one side and that was about the just of it.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 That turned out nice. I like the smooth look, and the colors are a beautiful choice. Excellent, thanks for sharing.
oldscool Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Beautiful job considering what you started with. Who says you can't polish a turd. gus
Terry Sumner Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 (edited) Is that the "Badman" kit? I never had that particular kit and was just wondering...does it not come with a firewall part? Or is the front of the interior tub supposed to serve as the firewall? Edited February 29, 2012 by Terry Sumner

I never had that particular kit and was just wondering...does it not come with a firewall part? Or is the front of the interior tub supposed to serve as the firewall? you are correct. which doesnt bother me as im getting into the smooth engine bay look.

Pete Aron Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Very cool! I remember building that when I was younger. Now I want another one! LOL
SuperStockAndy Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I was gonna paint my '55 this color, you gotta repaint yours! Nah, I'll just find a new color Awesome job on the model
Lownslow Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 the big-block swap is nice and would be even more fitting for the Badman kit since it advertises a "396" on it's fenders. cool build nah it would take away from what im trying to portray im building the tri 5s as gassers with factory type finishes
Terry Sumner Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 you are correct. which doesnt bother me as im getting into the smooth engine bay look. Yeah man..no problem here. I was seriously just inquiring if the kit came with a firewall. Thanks for the answer! the big-block swap is nice and would be even more fitting for the Badman kit since it advertises a "396" on it's fenders. cool build Okay..another question on this kit since I've never had one... No big block with it? It says 396 on the fenders but comes with a small block???
Rob McKee Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Frank, you really did that kit justice. The paint is just beautiful. Rob
