Monty Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I'm going to be replicating a JoHan Superbird street machine build I did in the early '80s except this time I intend to use a much more accurate chassis that doesn't have everything molded in. If you've done this conversion, please let me know which chassis works best as well as any other things that'll need to be done to make the swap successful.
azers Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) I use the amt 68 road runner chassis and engine for a lot of johan restorations. Edited March 15, 2014 by azers
Force Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Yes, the AMT 68-69 Plymouth Road Runner/GTX - 70 Dodge Coronet are probably the best B-body chassis out there and will fit the Jo-Han body quite well. Edited March 15, 2014 by Force
Modelmartin Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 (edited) Ditto for the AMT RR/GTX kits. I did the Sox & Martin Superbird and it fit like a glove. It was an easy conversion. Edited March 15, 2014 by Modelmartin
