  1. With the paint on the models looks quite different The Healey has an unpainted metal strip between the body and the wings so I need make that on the model as well Also the engine differs from the actual car. 2 in stead of 3 carbs, different colour. A before and after picture.
  2. For the proud owner of this beautiful Austin Healey 3000 I am going finish this 1:18 replica of his car. He already started on the project by disassambling one model. He also removed all the paint. The base model the owner started on didn't have the louvers on the side so I got another model withe the louvres. Before cutting up the models I first fitted the doors, bonnet and boot. Then I connected both models.
  3. And finally lots and lots of decals
  4. A bit of white and red and it starts to look like the original car immediately The interior is changed as well. No rear seats, teardrop metal on the floor, race seats, roll cage.
  5. A true hero from Peugeot, the 205 GTI 1.9. A boy racer and a winning rally car in its heyday. And even today it is a very popular rallycar. We are going to make a replica of this Peugeot 205 GTI in scale 1:18. The base model is by Otto. Not a diecast as usual but resin. First dismateling and adjusting the body.
  6. Some more photos
  7. It works, the "smart gear stick". Before taking the model apart I pushed it forwards and backwards a couple of times. Both ways it goes evenly fast.
  8. Neo is a Dutch company, although the models are made in China, so it is a bit cheaper overhere. Still $ 65.00
  9. Hi Manny, hopefully junking models helps you to get through this.
  10. Finally the wheels arrived today. A quick mock up. And the next project The Jagermeister will be trandformed
  11. Pretty little thing!
  12. To finish off the model some spot and fog lights are put on, just as the overriders.
  13. So, now the model is in bits and pieces. The windows are damaged due to the superglue NEO used. I have to make new ones. Difficult to see but the wheelarches are now fitted On this photo it is easier to see Black is a difficult colour to take a photo off. Especially when its night. Now the wheels and new windows are fitted it looks a bit more like a car And the grey/silver decals come out really nice on black
  14. The smallest big job. That is how you can discribe this modification. Making extended wheel arches on a 1:43 Daf 55 Coupe. This is the original car: And this is the model by NEO
  15. Anyone living in Austin, Texas? The Citroen ID arrived today but it is damaged. The body is detached from the under carriage. I'm affraid the model will be ruined if it is send by post while it is in bits and pieces.
  16. It is not that unusual overhere. Still quite a few racing in a Dutch challange on Zandvoort, Zolder, Francourchamps and other circuit nearby.
  17. A bit further with the interior. Just like the real car, the dashboard is a metal box.
  18. We own an Alfa Romeo Giulia Super. Quite exciting I am asked to build a racer from this model. The starting point is a base model from Minichamps After stripping the complete car it is painted red. The nose is now grey and the boot is mat black. The doors have tear drop 'upholstery' The roll cage being made
  19. Tomorrow the MG Workshop celebrates its 40th anniversery. It is a garage I used to earn some extra money while I was a student. They also taught me everything I know about working on cars. Dear friends for about 16 odd years now. Anyway, I made a present for them. A bit of a fantasy car. The well known base model The mods: carpet, some more red in the interior, small rings around the speedo and rev counter, a handle for the passenger, painted some chrome in grey (dashboard) and black (e.g. plate holders) and the decals.
  20. Well, this is what is it turned out to be
  21. A new project. The father of a friend of mine restored and owns a 4 door Morris Minor. As a model only a 2 door is available. So, besides changing the colour, I am going to create two extra doors. The base model by Minichamps The right colour Painting some smaller details by hand The original interior Painted and carpetted Playing around with some wheels I have. Makes a big difference.
  22. You mean the 2CV? Nickname in Holland is "lelijke eend" or ugly duck.
  23. Some more photos The basic blue model is by Solido
