  1. Nice Caprices...

I still don't know, why Revell, didn't retooled it to meet the 1994-1996 LT-1 specs, they already have the Impala ss.....

Police cars models are always selling good, just as the 1:1 units!!

    Maybe in a near future??

But both of yours are looking really good!!

    Congratulations! :)

  2. Actually, to be 100 perent accurate, you should bring the 1971 Charger chassis, since at this time the cars were stock cars as the name says.

They only reinforce the chassis with a roll cage, and got more powerful drivetrain to the car and widened the bodies for wheel clearance..

Race on sunday, sell on monday was the word at this time!!

The race cars must be available as street version with the same powerplant as the street cars.

If the Charger weren't available with a 426 Hemi, so you couldn't race it with a 426 Hemi!!

They change some rules on mid '70s or so when large displacement engines were not available on street cars anymore. or very few!!

The same happened with the chassis!

But the chassis of this kit, if i don't mistaken myself is a leaf spring unit wich is pretty much accurate for a Mopar this year, i would keep it.

    Good luck with your project!

  3. I just bought mine, and it's an excellent kit i was waiting to buy since a long time!!

Originals are merely unaffordable, and i don't like to work with the clear plastic body, because it's not the same as opaque polystyrene, it's harder and more difficult to work with ...

I've seen lots of patched t-tops bodywork ruined because clear plastic doesn't react the same to solvents, you can achieve this task correctly, but it requires more bodywork!

And this issue will allow modeler's to BUILD the famous NASCAR from the King, and will also keep the originals with the clear body valuable!

I'm impressed with the quality from a tool that age... And proud to finally have it in my lineup..
