  1. That's the reason why these classics worth as much today!!

Everyone is looking for one, but only a few remains!!! :(

And about half of the Chargers of this generation have been destroyed during Dukes of Hazzard show.

Sad to see this paticular one, my favorite Muscle-car, my favorite color!!

I don't thik it's salvageable since it rest in a swamp.

But i still like DOH a lot!!

  2. Wow!

Your project reminds me good memories!

    A friend of mine own a 1973 Duster with a 650 HP. stroked 340..

He ran his fastest run in 1998 on a 1/4 mile strip, at 10.18 at about 120mph!!!!

Only the natural aspiration (non turbo or supercharged) small block without nitrous!

Oh, i almost forgot to mention that the car was a four speed manual shift!!

Last time it ran, was at Englishtown dragway at the Mopar weekend in 1999 and he made a feature in Mopar Action magazine .

What a car it was.. And not to forget the driver, sounds like Ronnie Sox shifting his gears!!

Can't wait to see more developpements on your build, keep it up!

  3. Unfortunately, i won't buy a single example of this kit..... No, i will have to buy a complete crate of them!!!! :-P

I'm so much ecxited to finally have possibilty to build a LX version, i like it just the way it has been presented at the show.

And i'm very happy with the police version.

Even the wheels are a nice addition, the first time we'll have them in kit form!!

THANK'S A LOT REVELL, KEEP IT ON!!!

  4. Hi everybody!

Here's my latest, a 2010 Mustang GT from Revell!

It's been built out of the box, with silver paint from Tamiya with a PPG urethane clearcoat.

I wanted to give my 'Stang a stock look, excepts from the simulated carbon fiber top panel (i messed with the paint under this decal unfortunately!!)

It's been a year in the works, mostly in hotel rooms during trips for my work!

    So here's the pics!

    See ya!

  5. We have announced the first of Our Ford Pick-up truck releases at Toledo over the week end. That truck will be a 1971 8 ft bed Ranger XLT - Big Block automatic 2 wheel drive.

What we didn't show at Toledo is the second kit. This will be a Model King Exclusive. it will be a 1969 Custom Cab short Bed six cylinder stick 2 wheel drive.

Mock-ups for both kits are being done now. I hope to have them in my hands before Thanksgiving. Once we have reviewed mock-ups and made any corrections needed I'd like to hope that tooling will be under way by Christmas.

If all goes well we could have first test shots by mid February next year. Our hopes are to have kits on store shelves before the end of the second quarter of 2013

Wish I had a pile of great photos, but these kits are only 3d computer files at this time.

As soon as the Mock-ups get here I promise that I'll put photos up..

    Thanks,

    Dave

These pick-ups will be very interesting subjects, it's good to see some new pick-up tooling!

    Can't wait to buy mine!

  6. Geoff Bodine drove #88 in 1983, Rusty Wallace in 1984.

Buddy Baker drove #88 in 1985-1988.

I dont think any of them was the Gatorade colors of your pic. Those was in the late 70's early 80's. Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison made those colors famous. Ricky Rudd was one of the last to drive those colors for Digard.

Hary Gant drove the Green and White #33 Skoal Bandit.

So yes your car I would call a phantom....

    Thank's for reply!

I remeber, when i built it few years back, i saw this car on the Fred Cady decal reference sheet, but couldn't see the driver...

Not that bad, i like the look of the Carlo with these decals!

I may opt for Buddy Baker!!

  7. Hi!

    Here's my two modern Chargers!

Texas DPS is Lindberg out of the box and N.-J. is a Tetor's Metal model kit.

    Modlesnovembre2011019-vi.jpg

Both have been painted with base coat/clearcoat PPG..

N.J. unit have been stripped down before painting.

I know that the ligntbar on the Texas DPS unit shoulb be clear since they are LED, but i prfer the look of the red/blue lightbar on the roof of a police car!

Nice models on this thread, congratulations to all modelers, it's a pleasure to look!

    1. I will buy that Foose Firebird for sure, even if the stance is stock!
    2. I think that someone should bring us a well proportined Plymouth 'Cuda 70-71...
    3. The new Charger 2012 cop car, even R/T and SRT-8
    4. More vans and pick-ups from the 70's
    5. Why not an american tuner (2005-2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged and 2008-2010 turbo)
    6. 2012 Camaro ZL-1
    7. Update the Chalenger with 2010+ SRT392...
    8. 1970 Dodge Charger (will be interesting to have a non-R/T option)
    9. 1980-1990 Chevy Caprice or Impala police car!!
    10. At least a modern pick-up (full size)
    11. O.K. enough for now, i know that the model manufacturers are limited in their costs for new products developpements... But will be pleased to see at least one of in my wish list!!
  8. Hi!

Here's mine, it's a '85 or '86 Chevy Monte-Carlo from Monogram with Fred Cady decals.

Since it's never been raced, i don't know who was the designated driver at this time..

By the way, if someone can help me with that, because i've been told it was a phantom race car while i was building it.. so i left it aside a bit and never completed the decals on it.

I built it four years ago!

It's been built box stock, except for the engine wires, the paint is white automotive lacquer...
