  1. That DVD (Once Upon A Wheel) is available to purchase on Ebay or Snake's website, among other places. In addition to the video it has a LONG slideshow that is a great source of reference photos for building Snake & Mongoose models.
  2. I wasn't going to post about this when it happened, but after reading this I will. I ordered some decals from Decals By Lucas a few months ago. After a month they did not show up, so I e-mailed him about it. No response. Paypal gives you 45 days to make a claim, so I waited until the last minute to give Rick full benefit of the doubt before submitting the claim. After the claim was made I finally got a NASTY e-mail from Rick saying he had sent the decals. I don't know whether he did or he didn't, but if he had responded to my original e-mail I would have taken his word for it and not filed a Paypal claim. And the e-mail he did send was completely unprofessional and cost him a customer.
  3. Many of the MPC models of that era were just street car bodies slapped on a funny car chassis. However, the Johan Ram Rod (and the Gene Snow Rambunctious) is an excellent representation of the early 1970 Challlenger body and chassis. Up until about 1/2 way through 1970 Mopar funny car bodies still had molded-in grille and tail light details. Here's the early style 1970 Tom Hoover White Bear Challenger: Later in 1970 the bodies and chassis got streamlined. The front end became a flat panel with painted grille details. Here's the 1971 Color Me Gone: If you are building an early style 1970 Challenger, you should use the Ram Rod. If you are building a later sytle you should use a resin body.
  4. I just finished the Hot Wheels rear engine dragsters: Don Prudhomme Hot Wheels Rear Engine Dragster Box stock build of the recent Mongoose Navy re-release, but with Chuck's decals and wire wheels from the parts box: Tom McEwen Hot Wheels Rear Engine Dragster Box stock build of the recent Mongoose Navy re-release, but with Chuck's decals and wire wheels from the parts box: [
  5. Just finished the Carefree dragsters. Box stock builds of the original models, but with Chuck's decals. Don Prudhomme Carefree Dragster Tom McEwen Carefree Dragster
  6. Great job on one of my favorite drag cars of all time.
  7. I second the 1/24 scale request...
  8. I'd love some Bunny Burkett Mopar decals in 1/24 scale. She had two different Daytona body styles and Avengers. Especially the 1986 IHRA championship car.
  9. Chuck is providing us with some great high quality decals of drag cars with art previously not available. We should have a thread showcasing models built using his decals. I'll start: Don Prudhomme Snake III Cuda The body is an old Good Stuff resin casting complete with fender bumps and spoiler extensions. It hasn't been available for many years, but Competition Resins recently started making a Cuda with fender bumps if you don't want to add bumps to your SMBC or Speed City body. I mounted this to a 1320 Inc diecast chassis/tin. Don Prudhomme Pepsi Challenger Omni Box stock build of the MPC Nitro Charger with extra rear spoiler pieces added. Many more to come...
