Really outstanding build

Here's an old AJ Foyt Indy Winner from 1964. I had to paint the pearl red and blue scalops because the decals didn't work out.(1/43 scale)

Very nice job! Difficult car to pull off. What did you use for the chrome mylar body panels?

Thanks for the compliments. I really like Tameo they offer a lot of detail and accuracy for the money. And another nice perk is they include two decal sheets with their kits and they have outstanding customer service.
-
Alan, Thanks I think they are from Hoppin Hydros but not 100% sure. I know they were all chrome so I just painted the centers black and then removed the paint from the lugs and wheel tie bolts.

Here's an IMSA GTO class Corvette that raced at the Daytona 24 in 1984. I couldn't find any documentation during the build so here is what i came up with.

Stephen, It's a 1/43 resin kit made by Starter. Its a very simple kit.

Really really nice. Very inspiring.

I also like the sleeper look. Great work.

Mike, I sprayed the body with Tamiya TS50 out of the can then dusted TS 51 over the top to darken it a little. Sounds goofy but it actually worked. You also can order the correct blue from Zero paints. I think the actual GM color is Xenon Blue or 50th anversary Lemans blue. Thanks for looking at the cars.

Here are a couple of Corvette C5R the silver one is the old Revell Profinish and the blue one is the 2012 release from the 2003 Lemans 24 hr. race. I touched up the paint, added decals and re-cleared the silver one. The blue one didn't come with any Goodyear markings so I added those.

I think Rick Hendrick shared this truck with Jack Sprague at least once during the 1995 Craftsman truck series. This is the only truck I built from those early Monogram releases. I think the decals were from BSR/Racescale.

After building race cars for years I finally caught the bug to do some customs/resto mods This it so far. Just base color with no clear hopefully I can clear coat it this week. I plan to do a black hood and some black on the rear quarter panels. This is my first post so hopefully it came out ok
