Looking at all of the great builds on this site is very inspiring. With that being said i should be building more but instead I actually build less because it's too easy to just look then build. Although I have really enjoyed posting my previous builds here.
Chris Thanks! I plan on attending the Desert Scale this year hope to see you there also. I would like to see your Daytona Prototype. I've never seen any of those built yet.
Thanks. That's really great you are at the race I lived in Tampa for a couple of year and never made it to the 24. It looks like you have great weather. Enjoy the rest of the race
This is a 1/43 kit of the Red Bull RB5 that was raced by Sebastian Vettel at the 2009 British GP. This was a really nice kit the toughest part was trying to figure out how to mix the right shade of Red Bull blue and have it blend with the decal and look right in smaller scale.
This is an old 1/43 Starter resin kit of a Corvette L-88 that raced at the 12 of Sebring in 1972 by Dave Heinz Imports. This wasn't one of my better builds the decals cracked during application because they were so old and the paint was below average. But other than that I thought the subject was cool and it was the highest placing American car that year (4th overall) so it had some historic value.
Thanks, It used to be better but all the nice resin cast and factory builds from China definitely cut into kit production but it's still good though. I would buil larger resin kits like MFH but can't justify the cost.
Thanks! No problems except for the mirrors. The pattern alignment and getting them to conform tested my patience but a little setting solution and a hair dryer fixed them.
