Did ertl ever offer the GMC as snowmans rig? (Or did I miss somthing?) If not doesnt that seem a bit strange to offer the trailer but not the truck !? It would be interesting to see them release the General with the sleeper and decals.

Im glad that the model companys are still rererelasing the older kits as I missed them when they first came out and Im still looking for alot of them ! What I find fustrateing somtimes is some collectors that keep kits in cupboard for 50 odd years and then try to get mega money for them later on this is surpose to be a hobbie and its surpose to be fun and personaly I love it !

personaly I think it looks good in gold but thats just my 2 cents copper will look good too

Thats a good looking gold very brite . Just a tip for the future you should of filled the top of the door window frame when you take out the B pillers to make it part of the roof

From looking at the film the other day it looks to be just a great dane reefer with the door on the side like the ertl one I think ? It didn't look like a drop deck to me. But It has been known for me to be wrong before

Well after a few of you guys liked my dodge weathering I thought that I would share another one of my weathering jobs. I was going to do a diorama for this one but never got round to it . It was going to be an old abandond rig with weeds growing through it anyhoo enjoy and as always comments are welcome

Daniel I have already got the truck and a great dane trailer i would just need decals and a sleeper ! I cant see any other mods that they did for the film so it should be fairly strait forward to do ! Thanks everyone for the info Ive just got to biuld it now

Funny you should ask that Ive just done a trade with Sam I am for the dodge with the trailer and 40 ford so not for this one but the next one will and I will do a build thread for it

Thats very nice Al I had an R&R Plymouth fury and it was warped so bad it was unuseable . The resin on the trunk lid was as thin as paper I wont be getting one again you did a great job on that merc tho

I remember reading on another thread that the headlights need to be lowered down to be more accurate to the original truck !
