  1. Haha yeah, there is a small tank mounted in the back, on the left. You can sort of see it in the first picture. It wasn't in the interior yet at the time of that shot.
  2. This was an AMT/Ertl kit of the 454 SS C1500.It comes as a standard cab-short bed. I did not shorten the cab or bed. The grill is for like a 91-93. You could rob a grill from a newer chevy truck kit or promo, I know they released them with the newer dashes and chrome grills.
  3. Got the dash painted and installed. The tach is scratch-built, the steering wheel is from the parts box, and I made the column out of evergreen rod. The door panels were flocked and the parts box seats were painted and installed. The seat belts are craft ribbon, with buckles made out of scrap sheet plastic. The rear is from a funny car kit and is probably way over-kill for a street car but it works. The control arms and brackets were scratch-built using more evergreen rod and sheet plastic.
  4. Had to read the topic name twice! A Lamborghini drag car....Awesome!
  5. Yes the have tread, but very little. There are two grooves in the center of the tire. I will try to get a better picure for you soon.
  6. The wheels are from my parts box, they are 5 lug, similar to a centerline-style wheel. The front tires are a thin drag style, the rear are 10.5 wide street slicks. I got the rear tires at a model show, but I they are available in resin from Replicas and Miniatures Company of Maryland.
  7. I just had to build something dented! This was an old build up with a cracked body so I decided to build a derby truck. It is painted with Duplicolor blue and is hand lettered. The truck is weathered and rusted and dirty. There is actually real mud on it! For the interior I used the stock roll bar, but added a square tube brace to protect the driver from hard hits. All the guages are broken and the seats are torn using tissue paper.
  8. I'm starting with a swap meet body and chassis that has no motor, no suspension and various other missing parts. The power plant is a 396 big-block chevy from a revell 1969 Camaro. I know die hard chevy and ford enthusiasts might not like this but the chevy motor-in a foxbody mustang swap is not all that uncommon, so here we go! The big- block is mocked up, header clearance is very tight! I had to scratch-build the missing firewall and I tied the unibody together with some down bars. The raised hood is resin, I painted the Mustang testor's gloss red with high gloss clear. You can see I added the 396 "battle flags" to the fenders as a hint to what's lurking under the hood. You can also see the start of a roll bar.
  9. Really Cool!, great idea to compare it with a stock expedition.
  10. Detail is amazing!
  11. neat idea, i like the license plate!
  12. Thank you for you comments! Yea, the brake fluid looks blue, I was experimenting with giving the containers a "full look"
  13. very cool, I like the backround too!
  14. Built to resemble a 10.5'' wide tire car. Front bumper/grill was filled and smoothed to represent an aftermarket fiberglass unit. The raised hood was scratch-built using sheet plastic. Running horse logo is from the Revell 06 Mustang. The paint is Duplicolor touch up, but it did not come out how I wanted it to, one day it might get repainted. Chute mount was bent out of evergreen rod. Cable is string and the release is masking tape painted red. The 10'' Wide racing banner was hand-painted. You can see burnout rubber on the rear quarter panels, and the tag stands for the car still being street legal. Engine started as the stock kit block with the manifolds turned upside down and routed for a single turbo set up. The intake manifold was cut down from a nascar kit, and drilled for a distributor. I put the stock plug wire cover back on just for the fun of it. The exhaust exits the passenger fender, seen in the lower left of the photo. All the tubes for the turbo/intake/intercooler are evergreen rod. Valve covers were taken from a Revell 66 Mustang and black-washed. Interior recieved a full rollcage, a racing seat, and a shift light. Sitting on the passenger side is the scratch-built intercooler built out if sheet plastic, then covered with bare metal foil. The floorboards were also flocked.
  15. Built this one pretty much stock. It was lowered on billet wheels found in the revell 93 Mustang Cobra kit. I did not put the 454 SS decals on the bed because they had yellowed, plus it looks cleaner without them. The interior recieved a coat of flat red with flocked floorboards and door panels. Hand painted guages as well as a re-shaped shifter ball and scratch-built seatbelts were also added. The motor was built stock, but painted Chevy engine orange with the addition of plug wires. Out back the Chevy got bedcoated and a bodycolor rear bumper. Paint is Testor's gloss black.
  16. Very Cool!
  17. This was an old gule bomb, which is why it got shaved. The chassis and interior are in poor shape. The interior tub will probably get fogged semigloss black, and possibly get a roll bar. It will sit low, wheels are undecided...pegasus chrome T's with black centers??? I am going to build some sort of custom under hood panels and inner fenders. The power plant is up it the air too. Ls1 with fabricated intake, good old big-block??? It will definitely have a "modern look to it"
  18. Clean build, that trunk is awesome!
  19. Nothing like tripple blowers!
  20. Hello, my name is Kevin, I am new to the forum. Great work on here! These are some in-progress pictures of a Camaro I've been messing with. All the window trim molding was removed, the hood scoop is scratchbuilt and molded in. The paint is Duplicolor touch-up spray metallic grey, with Testor's gloss black, followed by high gloss clear.
  21. Is there a way to copy and paste if you do not have photobucket?, i just have my pictures in an album on my computer
  22. Thanks! This is actually one of my favorite builds.
  23. Thanks everybody! Still trying to get my picture posting worked out(bigger size, not as an attachment), but this is an awesome fourm! The S10 does in fact have chrome 4th gen camaro wheels and tires on it.
  24. Here is another S10 I built. It was lowered with some creative cutting of the rear leaf springs, and modified front a-arms. It has steel wheels stolen from the Revell Nova kit with spike dust covers made from scrap plastic. The door handles are shaved. The mud flaps and tonneau cover were cut from a black binder material. The interior was finished box stock in a flat copper color with grey flocking accents and a tach added to the dash. The 383 stroker was also taken from the Nova. I kit-bashed/scratchbuilt the headers and side exhaust to finish the small-block chevy engine swap. The air cleaner is a real penny. The license plate reads 10cents and pretty much sums up the theme of this build.( s10-10 cents-penny air cleaner......a dime was to small!) A shot with it's younger brother. The paint is Testor's copper followed by high gloss clear.
