  1. izzy.........i think you might need to get a second job. or maybe get some more sleep at night. jk very nice to know izzy. it's nice theres so many othe out there with new ideas and new products to make it easier and better in the end. thanks for the shoot out!
  2. Nice build! Love the color combo.
  3. can't wat to see either of them done. i wouldn't get too set on putting trim on the caddy. i have seen some that are smooth down the sides and if you lay down a good paint job, it looks AMAZING! just and idea.
  4. Wow! This one turned out great. Love the stance and lines you have created! Keep it up!

Love the stance. You did a great job on this build!
  6. Corvairs are cool cars. you did a nice job on this one!
  7. NICE! Love the stance it has. Color is a good choice too.
  8. WOW! very clean, nice lines, everything flows. not many people can get all of those in a custom. nice job!
  9. hey Harry! GREAT work. nice to see some "good" art these days. i see a lot of people who think their good, but just don't have the eye for it. so as i was looking at your work. how much would it run to have a piece done ofone of our cars?
  10. love the vette lines much more then the volvo.
  11. Which one shouldn't be in there? Did i miss it? All had a ferrari logo, two headlights and a rear end, right? So whats wrong?
  12. ###### you izzy! i told you not to take pictures of real cars and post them as your model. it's not right!. you HAVE to stop that! (btw, it looks really good )
  13. i use a smaller brush to get into tight corners. it can be washed out with water later. the glue tens to dry flat or semi flat, so there really is not worry for a "shine" to show through.
  14. i use elmers white glue to glue it. one thing to remember is to put a base color down first. so if it's black flocking. put flat black or semi flat black on the areas to by flocked otherwise the plastic color will show through. and when i apply the flocking i like to use a sifter to get the clumps out so it goes on nice and even! hope this helps!
  15. well thanks guys for the tips and advise. first off. i am useing lacquers. and i think i have finally found the best thing to use!. i was cleaning up some of my jewlery tools and equipment and came across some sanding/polishing cloths made by 3M. they are made to sand silver, gold, nickel and other fine metals from 400 grit to almost 15000 grit. so it hit me! THATS IT! so i ran to my local jewlery tool supplier and got a few 1200 and a few 4000 grit cloths. there are nice. they are so soft and you can't even feel the grit in them. i hope they work! i'll let you all know as soon as i get time!
  16. ok, so i recently have been getting more involved in my paint jobs. i'm doing a basic, prime and color job. not getting into prime, base, candies, so on and so forth. only problem is that i'm now more picky about what the end result it and i want it as smooth as i can get it. so i now have a gas tank from a R/M bike. i ran a base of red with a red candy/pearl and then many coats of clear. it came out great BUT it has a slight "peel" to it. i have been told be a many people to do many differnt things. i had a piece that ended having a corner that "burned" through so i figured if i mess it up it dosen't matter, i have to re shoot it anyway. i have tried fine rubbing compounds and now have tried crocus cloth and it did as i thought, it went right through the clear. so what should i do?
  17. i know when i either lost or were missing parts from a revell kit, i just went to their website and looked around untill i found where i could order the whole tree of what i was missing. i'm sure AMT has the same thing. look around their website and see what you can find. Good luck!
  18. izzy, i think you should do a little tutorial in the "tips" section on polishing. i know i would like to learn to do it. it looks great! i really want wait to see it all done. i think maybe a dark gray or black should be put on the wheels. might look nice yet different then every other car you see! just an idea. keep up the great work.

    '66 Volkswagen

i sure hope that one of those plans is to slamm one on it's nuts!
  20. Lee. looks like you have to do A LOT of body work! jk. no thats a shame man. i hate to see anyones models, finished or not. melted. even if the build was the crappiest build. sorry it happened Lee. i guess just save the good parts and hang the rest on the wall in a shadow frame!
  21. so i see you have a deep sump on there? how'd you do that? cut up another case? looks nice. i wish i could bend up some exhaust that nice for my race ghia. that enigne looks differnt. where did it come from. never seen a revell engine THAT nice.

    '66 Volkswagen

Randy, your '66 looks just like the model! amazing how quick you can build a real car to look like a model! i think this is going to catch on! just kidding randy. VERY nice build. not a big fan of original VW's but for everything being stock, it looks REAL good.
  23. VERY nice! you need to show us how to do belts like that!
  24. that camber might be too much but it's pretty close to something that low. if you ask me. thats some pertty major camber there and it's not as low as his model! just something to keep in mind.
  25. that wasn't an option Lee. it was red or yellow! haha. i would say to go black. not the most popular color, BUT it is a factory color.
