  1. love the way your going with this one. the color was a good choice alone with the dark wheels!
  2. looks stock.......but modified. i love it! very nice work. out of box build?
  3. awsome car!! love that you put camber int he rear as most people forget about with old VW's. i should be getting some more pics up soon. i haven't had a lot of time to build in the past few days, so no progress. the engine will be pretty much stock looking. only mods will be header/ custom exahust tip and a velocity stack on the small carb. i may do some some other mods with tranny and suck with supports to make it like it's got a drag ready set-up. we'll see
  4. WARNING! this is not a thread for reference pics, it is a 1:1 project. so for the past year and a half i have been restoring/customizing an old VW. most people wouldn't care about these cars. as most seem to go for the popular choices such as mustangs, vettes, cameros. i went for a '61 VW type 1. i bought it for $700 and since then have put almost $4,000 into it. most of that went into engine, tranny, brakes, and now the roof.now on with the lastest pics......... well almost lastest (roof now in primer) all new 1776cc engine with countless mods done to it. rear brakes/tranny/axles all going back together. before, when i first bought the car. after everything we have done so far. (wheels, brakes, tranny, engine, roof, parts of interior) finall goal! more photos of build up HERE comments and questions welcome!!
  5. izzy.............such a sloppy job you did. you didn't even threads on those studs! whats wrong with you. just kiddin'. it looks REALLY good izzy. funny thing is those pics i got you of NEW porsche don't look as good as that!
  6. it has that old school feel! very nice work!
  7. very cool!!! love the attitude as she sits!
  8. been working on this bike. it's based off the revell torch kit. did a lot of mods to it. these are some of the latest.... comments and questions welcome!!
  9. so i've been working on this project for a while now. started out i was just going to lower and add some differnt wheels. as time went on it got more and more complex, as most projects do. i'm now to the point where i'm doing a full replica build of my 1:1 '61. so far i have really focused on the roof. the kit comes with a weird ragtop thats not right for the year of the car. so i thought i would just make my own that was right. again one thing lead to another and now i have a full wokring ragtop... also did a replica roll cage... and a replica of my firewall. it's Damascened or "engine turned." also did a few little things. correct year tail lights, euro bumpers and such. comments and questions welcome!!
  10. looking good Lee. i haven't seen any of your work in a long time. i like what i see. hope to see 'em done soon!

WOW!! always been a fan of those cars. you did a great job on this one. love all the details!!
  15. where are you getting these wheels from? i haven't ever seen BRMs in 1/24th. i have seen some empi five spokes and a badly done set of raders/ randers. never BRM's. i'm doing a cal-look beetle and would love some BRM's as i am running some Fuchs.
  16. looks SWEET izzy. i sure hope those pics are helping you on this project. i tried to email them to you but they won't go through. i'll try and work it out. but again it looks amazing. keep it up!!
