I love it Danny! Its one of my favourite 1:1 car. Nice paint scheme and the wheels do work well on it.
I built one of these about 30 years ago. If I'm not mistaken this kit was sold under the brand of Humberol - then ESCI berore it became a Revel (RoG) kit. I have an un built 'narrow' body version (ESCI) on the shelf waiting. I might just have to get cracking.

Here's some more pics...

This is gonna be a master piece. Can't wait to see more Brad - keep up the good work.

Jon, thats a really SWEET rod. A proper hot rod. I love the attention to detail.
Where did those rear tyres come from?

An awesome project. Love to see more.

I love this one Drew. The colour, stance and finish look perfect. The contrast between the roof and body colour appears to be subtle, but I think it looks better for it.
I often wonder why I don't build more curbside models like this. In the time it takes me to build one full detail model I could have built two curbsides. Now you have inspired me .

Nice clean model. I love the colour.

Looks beautiful in red! A nice paint job and a clean build. Is this the Mobius kit?

Thats a real nice job! EXCELLENT work.
I am part way throgh this project as well, but you are much further down the line then me. I am only half way through the engine build.
I am curious about the SMS carbon fibre decals though. I contacted Matt the other day and he says the decals are not yet available. Am I just being silly here, or have you got a 'pre-production' set?
Matt also says a PE set is coming out. If it is anything like their 1/24 set it will be amazing. I am waiting for this before making any further progress on my Enzo.
Keep up the good work on this project.

really beautiful. i dont think a lot of those engine parts came straight out og the box though!! seriously, very nicely done. i have real problems dong one like this, i always try to "overkill" the build. those headers didnt come in that kit, did they? maybe i should start looking at small block stuff a little closer.
Yep - I usually go little OOT with modifications too - and so by my standards this is kinda 'out of the box' .
The headers come with the kit, but are part of the side exit exhaust system, so I have used the 'street machine' headers and combined them with the stock exhaust system.

Thanks for your positive comments. Back when this was built the colour coded bumpers was my way of getting past the issue od seem lines in chrome. This was long before I had heard of the likes of Alclad etc.

I've got the Revell kit sitting on my shelf. You have just inspired me to make a start on it. Looks really good in white. Nice work Jonathan.

Nice to see this one again. I agree - there has been a lot of Cobra kits, but very few of the narrow bodied 289.
