  1. This thing was an absolute nightmare. Oddly, I now have a desire to build the retool of this kit to see how much easier it is. I know there are several imperfections with my creation but it is actually at a point that I can call "finished". Please keep in mind that this thing is much more shiny in real life. I made the mistake of using the flash on my camera which took the shiny away. Enjoy the pictures and thanks for looking.
  2. Windshield got all cloudy and looks really bad. Oh well
  3. Finally! This nightmare of a build is as finished as it's going to get. It's not perfect, but that's ok. I'm no master modeler and I actually completed this horrible kit. I believe that in itself is an achievement. I really hope you all enjoy the following pictures. Thanks for looking!
  4. Fantastic build! You did an amazing job on the weathering thus making this build look very realistic. Good job.
  5. Right on Rob, I don't feel so bad now. =) OK, I got my new paint booth this evening and I just had to check it out. Sooooo it was the perfect opportunity to put some trident stripes on my ol' '32. I've got 2 pics below and I'll explain them a little bit. The first pic is bright and sharp but doesn't show the pearlescent very well. The second pic is dark and blurry but shows the pearlescent very well. They will give you the idea. Thanks for looking in.
  6. I am yet again, in awe. Fantastic!
  7. Another awesome build in the making... Can't wait! I'll be following this one as well.
  8. Naa that's cool Jason, I don't mind at all. I've decided to save this engine for another build as it sits, but I will end up moving the wires to resemble the Chevy engine. I do believe that this hotrod will end up being box stock this time. BTW: This was the first time using I've ever tried to add any actual details to an engine. =) Thanks for looking in.
  9. All sorts of colorful new body paints. What will I make using these colors???
  10. Ken, I really enjoyed watching this build. You did a fantastic job and this car is truly an inspiration. I can't wait to see this car at 100% complete. You should be truly proud of yourself sir. Phenomenal job!
  11. OK here are some pics of the engine (as mentioned above) after it's been finished.
  12. Those will get cut off and painted black to be used as spark plug boots.
  13. Got all the parts airbrushed a couple days ago. Today I hope to spray the rest of the body so I can start putting things together. I'm still going to spray some pearlized trident stripes on the body. Any suggestion on which engine I should use?
  14. I'm waiting to clear this till my '32 street rod is finished so I can clear both of them at the same time.
  15. Ty much Nick! Very much appreciated.
  16. Thanks Carl and Larry, I appreciate the kind words. Thank you Steve! The color is SinfulColors Professional nail polish "Under 18". I love using this kind of nail polish because the colors are just amazing. You're right, this kit is a beast. I would love to see a thread just on this car alone. I think it would be fun to see how everyone tackles it.
  17. I just wanted to post the album so I wouldn't have to add 30ish pics to this forum. =p I'll still put updates here though. Should only have one more though. This thing is ready for Clear and detail work.
  18. In being over anxious to finish up my Corvette; I've started a new one. =) This one is a 1932 Ford Convertable and it will be basically box stock. I have two engines to play with and one is from this kit and the other is from a 33 Ford P/U with blower and supercharger. I'm really wanting to keep this kit pretty simple as it would be nice to actually complete one. Pictures coming very soon. Enjoy!
