  1. Nice to see your collection! Your old models still looks very good ! Thomas
  2. Hi Gregg Thanks ! Infact there are four different brands of decals, I used the Tamiya original decals without the JPS logos, they come from Indycals. Unfortunatly they were scratched a little, so I had to do a some touchups there. The #12 decals is from an ACE decal sheet, the glue was nearly gone so it was difficult to make them stick to the surface. And last I had to remake the frontwings, the Tamiya decals wrinkled to much after I used the setting solution!. So the JPS logos on them is from Tabu. All this means that the color match is long from perfect. Thomas
  3. Hi This is the Tamiya kit and I did choose a little different version of Wisells car. In the last race of the season the car had #12 and that was the only time it had that race number, the rollbar was painted black. Also a little extension on the front part of the window. There was also some extensions on the rearwing sideplates. I have used some etched rivets, braided lines with hoseconnectors, hosebands, and some other hoses and wires, The valves on the rims are adjustable :-) Nice stuff I think. I used lead wires for some of the detailing on the back of the dash, on the front I used aftermarket switches. Colour and clear is made by Tamiya spraycans. This car is one of my favourite F1 cars from that era, I´m planning to do two more versions in the furure. See you Thomas
  4. Hi I´m very happy for your nice comments! I ´ve understood that F1 cars is not so common here, so I will show my latest build, a Lotus 72D very soon. Thomas
  5. Hi and thanks all of you! I´m very glad you liked my GT 40 :-) Regarding the carb it´s built up with four pieces, the fittings is connected as told in the manual and from refs. the blue/red parts are extra stuff. I hope I understood your question because my English regarding the technical things is not the best . Thomas
  6. Great job! The shine is very impressive and the work under the hood is super ! ! Thomas
  7. Hi This is Trumpeters kit with decals from BBK, this version finished third in LeMans -66. Also the spare tire is from BBK. I have made some modifications during the build, it´s detailed with mostly etched parts, rivets around the headlights, hoses ,connections and such things. The dymo labels on the dash is made by me in the computer. There are some improvments to be made but I still think it´s a very nice kit. Thomas
  8. Hi and thanks all ! I don´t know what engine it is , not an expert on US cars, but this is some pictures from the build. Thomas
  9. Hi this is Doyushas big Corvette, a very nice kit I think. For the first time I used Chameliont paint in spraycans. The effect is rather cool This changes between purple-green-blue. Under the hood I added some hoses and wires and a suitcase in the car:-) Thomas
  10. Hi This is Fujimis big kit of the Nissan that raced in the Japanese GT series in 1990. The kit itself feels like an upscaled 1/24, plenty of room for detailing. Everything fits perfectly and the decals was wonderful to work with! I did some detailing under the chassi and in the car, most work was done under the hood. Thomas
  11. Hi David A few years ago we were in contact regarding this wheels and model, I must admit that I forgot wich kit they came from, it must be from the chevy -57 or the Camaro 69. I drilled out the centers of the rims, but the they are not correct for this car but they was close enough for me. Thanks for looking :-) Thomas
  12. Hi This is the Monogram kit wich I tried to look like the #31 racecar from Daytona in1968. My refs is mainly from the outside so the interior and under the hood is from refs that I belived could be right. The decals is custom made by a modelling friend. Thomas
  13. Hi This is a backdated Tamiya M-boro kit , I used aftermarket decals to build the Hulme winning car from the Swedish GP 1973 I used photoetched rivets, belts, braided lines and connectors, I forgot the brands because I did this models a few years ago. Some minor work on the body . I think that the Yardley livery is one of the best from that era :-) Thomas
  14. Hi This Bmw is from Doyusha and I think it´s a very good kit. I used the box decals but with some changes to fit the car that was racing on the Glen in 1975. The drivers was Ronnie Peterson and H.J.Stuck. It´s detailed with wires ,hoses and some photoetch parts. Also BMF was used. Thomas
  15. Hi I used an ordinary automotive primer , don´t remember the brand. The yellow is Humbrol 69 that I got in a spraycan. Thomas
  16. Hi This Tamiya Lola I did a few years ago, It´s ment to be the Bonnier B.O.A.C 500 car from -68. There are some minor differences from the real car but I can live with that. Jo himself is made of different Tamiya drivers, the head comes from the Matra kit. The decals is from the spare box and the #2 decals is made by a modelling friend in the US ( Thanks Stu ! ) Detailed with hoses, wires and connectors. More later Thomas
  17. Thanks The color is from a spraycan, brilliant blue RAL5007. I thought that this color looked very nice on this Cord, so probably not a correct original shade for this car. This was not my intention anyway Thomas
  18. Hi My name is Thomas and I ´m new to this forum, I just discovered it ! I mainly build 1/12 cars , most racecars. I will show some of them here, you maybe seen them on other forums before. More later Thomas
