  1. was just toying with the idea of the stepside from another kit. Will be assembling the actual bed for this truck shortly. Modded the frame, took out the trans xmember and spare tire piece. trans xmember will be "tube or box" so it's level with the frame rails. these wheels are resin scale 20's. I think they fit the look of the truck perfectly.
  2. ah that's totally cool. Well I'll tell you what, if you want, since I have 2 sets of the twisted wheels, and I want a set of the non-twisteds, I'll send you my twisted version (I'll pay shipping), if you buy a set of the regular non twisted version (found here: http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/mm4018.htm) and send them to me. aka trade lol,. Thank goodness they lowered the prices, even though I didnt mind paying the 22 for a set, it still hurt lol!
  3. oh lawd, i did not know that 1:1 was YOUR 1:1 lol. What a small world. Bad ass truck for sure. I do have 2 sets of those Mr Model twisted vistas. now wait, your not Bryan as in worked for Intro wheels Bryan are you? And in a twist of fate, Del is a good friend of mine lol
  4. i like it! been wanting to get a double cab for an "on the ground build" lol
  5. outstanding work! Glad I was able to see this thread!
  6. Ahh very awesome Joe. I'm going to hit the local Hobby Lobby to see what they have that is similar. I can see myself making items similar (love the pro street firewall / inner fender look!) along with floor pans and bed floors for my trucks as well! Jeff those are some awesome looking builds!
  7. Thank y'all I appreciate it. Hopefully some more work to commence on SOMETHING this weekend lol.
  8. Ahhh just saw your link to your photobucket lol
  9. Wow Joe that's killer! I assume that is aluminum sheet you cut and bent to fit? What thickness? Any more pics of that? That REALLY just peaked my interest!
  10. blazer you say? We are doing a full frame and LSx swap on my buddies blazer/jimmy this winter. well for the 56, it's an Aoshima lexus adjustable suspension chassis under it, I'll be change the rollers though for sure. for the camaro, it's "static slammed" for the moment, i want to build a tube front end for it though and scratchbuild some air ride technologies shockwaves.
  11. thanks! Thanks jared, i appreciate the kind words. Ahhhh i recognize your s/n from there, IIRC you recently got wheels right? Coys or Boss 338's? really like your truck as well. If the plans pan out correctly, the sonoma will be stock floored in the next 5 months, finally lol
  12. lol true story! please do! Nova looks great! thats not the chassis that comes with the rides kit is it?
  13. Ahhh what a small world! Yeah I've cut my forum stuff back quite a bit, it's funny how so many interests (trucks, models, carpentry, etc) can take up so much time in their own right! Yep he sure is, the older version finally crashed for good and this newer one has been up now for at least a year I think. Would love to hear some details about your truck sometime! Yeah, I'm thinking more and more on the modern camaro's or something with a serious lip.
  14. I absolutely love those wheels, def. rethinking my direction on the car wheel wise now that I've seen yours. Awesome build, I'll have to hunt that up! Thanks! Always good to have another minitrucker on the same forum! And yup you hit the nail on the head. I'm in the kentucky chapter of ///RA, and actually if your in eastern ky, I'll have to ask or assume that you've hit heritage? Lee (or LMC) who puts it on is one of my closest friends. Here's my sonoma, this was coming home from Heritage this year actually. And from Camp N Drag this year.
  15. Well the Camaro would in a 1:1 situation contain something along the lines of what the company Air Ride Technologies out of Jasper Indiana does. They produce full on air suspension kits that allow pneumatically adjustable ride heights, but they are performance orientated. You'll find a lot of them at road courses and autocross events on the older iron. once of my favorite subjects besides rocker dragging trucks. The 56 is more of a full on show piece that would air up to drive. Street cruiser and show car style.
