thnx guys and well i was amazed by the result myself .. i was bummed i missed the molding issue .. but in teh end this only lead to this .. and on the real merc the chrome moldings also are sitting a bit inside the opening .. the fun thing is a whole roll of that tape isnt that expensive .. the downside it you cant use it to do like moldings or trips in 3d like you can with bmf foil .. it just wotn stick well on curves and is to stirdy for like round corners .. but on flat surfaces it works great ! on the other side maybe they look a tad flat like real moldings are more 3-d but well i'm def. pleased with this especially the fact its really like chrome -

whell i put some tape on the windows and traced the countours of the openings , the idea was to cut it and paint it but then i realised looking at the taped windows i still had some insulation tape left , this is used to tape of seems after insulating your house ... now this is real chrom like a mirror , much shinyer then bmf ... but not suitable to do like real edges like you can with bmf but on a flat surface .. so i put that on the glass then placed it in the body and traced it and then hand drawn a line inside teh trace line .. and cut it with a blade sadly some white tape stuff was left on the window , i didnt have the nerv to rub it off knowing mostly you spread like the glue of the tape and ruin your window .. so i took the yellow tape and put it on ripped it off and did that several times and all the white stuff came off .. giving this result then fitted it and hoped the cheomw line would flow nocely and .. it was all hand work , both the cutline drawing and the actual cut so chances where it would be uneven on places .. but no it looked great > then tested a piece of the chrome tape if i could use polis over that and the chrome would not come of , it didnt so i polished the whole front window and never expected this result it looks awsome ! even more realistic then a olded line with bmf becausse the real mercs also have the chrome inside the opening next i have to do the back window the same way -

well looking at the black merc. i realised the window moldings are separate and the kit had molded ... like every kit ..i could try to make loose moldings !!! started work on those spotlights and added steel pins to be able to move them into different positions and so when glueing them on i can rotate them so the position is great -
oh yes but i thought you where talkingabout when those wells are closed and looking at it from the bottom .. so never mind me then haha

yesterday i sanded the body and gave it a last coat of primer , its smooth now .. one problem i did not think of is the fact i changed the back / front and door windows and now i dont have any lines to do either bmf of black moldings .. hmmmm so i wanted to get some green metallic ... now i'm thinking due to the molding issues i only can do like a high gloss black ... i actually love the white from the primer , would be cool in gloos white with old skool scallops .. but again those moldings would not .... dryfit everything on exept the rear wheels dont mind the tailgate thats not compeltly down so the seem looks weird gave the centers of the rims a coat of black -
haha straw headers i also did that back in the day when they fit scale wise they always look cool love the checkered fire wall and the chrome chassis !! coming together perfect !!

nice !! btw i think if you look at vw engines it would not be hard to scratch a engine that you see from the bottom , more like a plate that resembles the bottom of the vw engine .. they are quit simple in design

very nice ! i would suggest taking some rust colored paint and with a fine brush by hand brush over the earea's where the styrene is showing ... also what really works magic is some rust pigment powder , when its completly done apply some rust powder to certain earea's where you want it to look more rusted
