Yes, this was a fun read. Thanks!
There are humans involved too...
...and there's the rub

Anyone know who cast the resin body?
Pretty involved project to make the corrections on an existing longbox.
Not as tough to make your own shortbox as I thought...
8 inches out of the front of the box side and 12 out of the back

A little anti-seize on the wheel, where it contacts the rotor...problem solved!
They need to integrate that little bit of common sense into the factory assembly process... these wheels had never been off the vehicle
Of course, a savvy owner could do that right off the bat; much like spraying something like fluid film over the wheelhouse on a new pickup could save that area from rustout.

Finally got motivated to make the cuts on my unibody short box conversion.
Another project received attention too; making cuts to turn a series lll Landy into a series ll with the 88" w/b and inner mounted headlights. This one will be somewhat un-stock, with my inspiration being the '66 Golden Rod V8 conversion ...

I remember my Dad having cars in the 70s-80s w/ bumper jacks. I've never used one, used bottle jacks a couple of times in the past though. But I've had AAA for 20+ years, wouldn't want to change a tire myself on my 5000lb Jeep w/ heavy 20 inch wheels and tires...
Ask me how I know about that chore ...
Came across a young lady a couple of weeks ago standing beside her two year old jeep. Had run over a spike or something. Hardest part was actually getting the wheel to move as the hub/wheel interface is so tight they get welded together from corrosion

Nope...engine make is not mentioned on the box, to not pay for licensing from a second manufacturer. Nothing new, Ertl did the same for many years.
Good point about the licensing; I was referring to your catch of his comment about the 'Ford small block' in the kit. In light of Charger 'whaletails' and D150's with 4 cylinder engines, among other booboos, it seems Round 2 marketing could use some help with fact checking

Any engine in a Ford is a Ford engine to this bunch of master marketeers...

General rule seems to be with this generation 'iffen you don't know from nuffin, it don't matter... none of your peeps do either'

Cool car, lotsa money, but what kind of "car guy" writes "And check out that cool HEMI-type blower sitting on top."
I think you may not know what a blower is, little fella.
Such is the sad state of automotive 'journalism' -heck, any type of journalism- these days

Looks like the adults were in another part of the building again when the graphics for the D150 were being laid out... when's the last time you saw a Dodge half-ton with the 2.6 mca-jet mitsu in it? 🤪

Kinda looks like they were aiming for the 351M, with the squared off valve covers...
but I'm not sure what planet they scrounged the carb and distributor from

Still kinda hoping to find one of these resin creations...

Not much i really 'need', but am interested in stuff to help me finish off ancient and newer projects ...
like maybe the reissue '68 GTO, '64 Comet, '72 moeb f100, moeb f250 4x4 among other potential offerings.
Also have a mint unbuilt Cop-Out funnycar kit sealed inside for trade.

This could be an interesting. The Unibody does come to mind...
There may well be something to that eventually, given the provocative wording used in Mr Boyd's unibody wip thread...

Here's another thread on this build...

Harry did a beautiful job on one of these. This one came to me as you see it. Looks mostly complete; doesn't look like the tires have ever been out of the package. I'd love to have the time/ambition to restore it but it's not in the cards right now, so I'll trade if something interesting appears...

I seem to remember a '66 built by one C. Kourouklis esq in that time frame... I'll see if I can find my issue.
