  1. Wow...the humor level is at an all new level.
  2. Ouch! That really bites. Though, that looks really cool.
  3. Gregg has a different facial and hair style for each show it seems.
  4. Finally finished the Porsche GT3 after a year and a half. I started this as my first model, then ended up finishing a C5R in there for the 24 Hours of Le Mans build. So this is Number 2, it could be better, but Im proud of it. I do have to say, this color is difficult to photograph. It looks black indoors, purple in light, blue in direct light, all different colors of the spectrum. So here it is in the sun, and didnt not capture the color at all. Thanks!
  5. I dont know if I am out of line, or whether or not its my call, but this is getting out of hand. Please do not "call-out" a well respected modeler, or anybody for that matter. I am going to close this thread, if you would like to discuss it further please private message me.
  6. I dont honestly know what to say about the contents of this thread, I think I will step away, collect my thoughts and then put together a rational post.
  7. Thats what I needed to read right after studying philosophy, thanks!
  8. Pitide had to close BSD due to a busy life. Last time I talked to Bob he had no plans of selling anymore 1/8 parts.
  9. 1/12
  10. Honestly, I'm surprised it doesnt have some flat olive drab paint, with a huge maltese cross on the hood, red-white-and chrome steelies, and a cut out roof with Velocity stacks sticking out of the hood finished off with an exhaust right out of the front fender. Now that I think about that, that sounds badass.
  11. Looks awesome Hinson, I'm not much for the big rims but those look great tucked under there!
  12. Simon, its made by XConcepts, from there Modifier line. Unfortunately its been discontinued for a few years now.
  13. Beautiful E31, the detailing on that M70 is beautiful. Forgive me, but the undercarriage is prettier than the body!
  14. My roommates birthday is today, so I built this for him. Its a model of his prelude. Quickest mod I've built...started Monday, finished Wednesday.
  15. Bob, Scott is able to run our forum for free since he already purchased a vB license for his Open Track site. Its far from free unfortunately, at $160+ depending on the package.
  16. Steve, I've seen oil pumps that look similar to those on a few engines. I wish I could remember which ones they were, but that may be of some help.
  17. I have about a dozen, but I cant spend any money on them right now. Modeling is too expensive for me to support both hobbies.
  18. I'm glad you took it apart to photograph it Dirk. When David was telling me that you were taking it apart my heart skipped a beat, now I see why you did. The pictures of the motor have me at a loss for words. The motor is a model in itself. Wonderful work.
  19. I loved seeing it in person the past two years at NNL South. Dirk brought it to NNL05 in progress an it was great seeing it in progress. Dirk, you've already heard what I think. I think it looks awesome, in my opinion its my favorite. Although the VW has more machine work, which is undoubtedly awesome, I love the stance and build of this one.
  20. I dont build models to replicate or build box stock, so that leaves me to modifying. Once I see how my idea looks I quickly lose interest and stop building. I've been working on a box stock Porsche GT3 for over a year, it needs about an hour of work, but I just dont have any motivation to work on it right now. Just like 10 other projects I have going.
  21. Pff, the Sherline CNC Mill is cheaper. I do want a full blown 5 axis mill though.
  22. No, those rubber bands are for shooting at kids in class off the end of your pencil. I bought some small RC O-Rings to do airbags before.
