Thanks for the comments fellows, finally little something has happened with the Charger. Thanks for the good idea concerning the subframe connectors Dale, I scratchbuilt them from styrene rod. Alan, I will use the original hood. Actually I didnt know that Hemi Chargers came only without the scoop. I also scratchbuilt CalTracs for the rear axle. Both axles are now installed and the chassis is on four wheels. I made the electrical water pump to the engine and installed the plug wires. The target is to get the car running to a model car show in Jyväskylä in January. (2015)

Thanks everybody, by the way;Larry, I'm Nikos dad. I have done something with the Charger finally. I painted the valve covers black, as they should be and painted also the front cover and water pump. I made the fuel line of aluminium wire, as it is done sometimes in 1:1 race cars too. The ends of the fuel line will be made of Pro Tech braided line with aftermarket electric fuel pump and filter. Its been nice to build this once again, there is just too little time and too much to do. I try to get the Charger progress again. Some pics:

Hello After I got the Color Me Gone Dodge finished, I started an other Dodge stocker. It's Revell's 1968 Charger which will be a modern day stocker. I will try to build it as close to how they are nowadays, lets see how I'll manage... It will be orange body with black interior. I started by painting the body, but it looks like it needs to do some more bodywork with it and repaint it again. I also painted some small parts as seen in the pics. The engine will be a Hemi and I'll use my favorite wheels, the Centerlines. I have removed the original fuel tank, and will use a fuel cell in the trunk. Here are some pics from today:

Hi all Back again, I got my Dodge finished after all. Dale, you are more than welcome to Finland with both of the Fords next summer (now we are having -17 Celsius degrees). John, yes you definitely right about the fuel lines. We are also using braided in our 1:1 Stock Eliminator Chevelle, but I think they used to use rubber lines in the early days. The body is painted Tamiya TS spray paints and clear coated. I tried polishing the paint for the first time ever, and it wasnt so difficult. The result looked much better than without polishing. Next time I'll be more experienced. There were some fit issues in the model (for example with the front bumper), but mainly ok. Here are so some pics of the finished model:

Hi all Its been a while since the last update of the Dodge, but now I try to find the time to finnish it. First, thanks for all of the supportive comments guys! Here is some pics of the current situation: The engine is assembled, I installet the ignition wires and fuel lines, interior is also ready. The body has primer it and I think I'll paint it white tomorrow with Tamiya spray paint. The pics: By the way, Niko's Thunderbolt has stalled because the lack of the interior paint...

Hi all At last I also have something to show. My -64 "Color Me Gone" Dodge has got on its wheels. The rear axle and front suspension are on their place. Engine is more or less assembled, but still needs some detailing to do. The color of the engine looks alittle pink in the pics, but in real life it's orange! I just primered the body and now its waiting to dry and will be painted gloss white. The interior will be painted red. By the way, the roof of the car must be painted "Ford/GM engine blue" by the instructions, since the is no decal for it. So, does anyone have a good tip, what color to use on the roof to get it as close to decal-Blue colors as possible? Here are some photos of it:

Thanks guys -57 is now finished, and here are some project pics of it before I (actually Niko) goes and takes pictures of the finished model. In these pics seatbelts are added and glasses are installed, the body is foiled and engine and interior are installed to the chassis.

Thanks, here is new update on this. The interior is ready, the kit is pretty nice with the "seat cover", door panel and cauge decals. Some new pics:

This Chevelle was finished around 1992 after some years of "quick-building" . The model is Monogram's Heavy Chevy kit, which is mainly box-stock with added ignition wires. The body is painted by spray paint, SS stripes are from the kit.

Thanks everybody for the comments, here you can see at least some progress of the -57. The engine begins to be ready, I scratchbuilt the headers from solder (collectors are still missing). I made some fuel and vacuum lines on the engine. The air cleaner is an aftermarket product, but I made the adapter between fuel injection and air cleaner. Rear slicks are AMT Racemaster slicks parts pack, I had to narrow the rear axle a bit and lifted the rear suspension a little to fit the rear tires correctly inside the body. And yes, I'm really proud of Niko! To be continued....

Hi all from Scandinavia My son Niko, (W-409), took me into this forum, and it sure looks interesting. I started building models in the mid 70s as a kid. Then the normal story, 20 years brake and restart inspired by my son. I'm most interested in Stock and Super Stock drag cars, modern and old school, but also other Americans. We are also building 1:1 scale Stock Eliminator Chevelle -74 K/SA for next summer with my son. OK, but now I'm trying to build a Jere Stahl -57 Chevy Junior Stocker from year 1965. It will be build from Revell's Black Widow. The body is painted white and has "Decals by Lucas" on it. The engine is not ready yet, but hopefully will be during my current holidays - lets see.. By the way, does anyone have pics of J. Stahls -57 (or similar -57's) from that era?
