Just received a 351 hood conversion from AITM, really nice casting. Dave does not have it listed on his web site but it is HC-351. Includes hood, fenders headlights and brackets, optional bug screen and two bumpers. Going to build one of the Petes into an early '60's 351. Aitm is on vacation until July 21. -
Just received the HC-351 from AITM. Really nice casting and super service from Dave. Should have ordered more. Ben, it's not listed in his catalog, but I emailed him on July 1 asking if he planed on casting them and he replied that he already has them. He is on vacation until July 21.

Hey Art, Thanks for the info, sounds right. I always get at least two reissues when they are released. Just got two T866 little window Petes and ordered a 351 hood conversion from AITM for one of them.

Hey Superpeterbilt, nice display. Have you posted all of your builds, I have seen some of them on the other site. -

I used Tamiya TS-39 mica red over TS-17 gloss aluminum. TS-39 on the frame with Model Master 1960 clear flat lacquer. The end of the frame rails were trimmed down and a stainless visor was added.

I used the Moebius rims and AMT 11.00 X 20 tires, makes a big difference. Not a bad kit to work with.

New rims on the front of a snap Pete. Use the AMT 11.00 tires and they make a big difference on these kits. -

Moebius Models Accessory Pack - Big Rig Wheel & Tire Set

Hey Jim this sounds like a sticky situation. Just got 2 sets from Jack @ Model Roundup and put them on two original 359 Petes replacing the kit tires. Did not notice any problem yet but the trucks sit on pine shelves that are polyurethaned and about every 6 months are wiped down with Pledge. This may keep them from sticking, I'll find out. Did notice that the tires are somewhat soft. They look good, I ordered two more sets for the T866 Petes. -

Check out Freds in Buffalo, just posted late last night, may have what you want. fredsmodelworldonline -
If this is for real that's good news. I've been paying 60 to 65 bucks for them (which is a good deal from Freds in Buffalo) and now have seven including the original one I built in 1969. Hey Jim B, I think I'm gonna be getting 10 or 12. Classic style for custom, work ,fleet dump truck, hay hauler etc.

Don't know, got mine many years ago. I would try fredsmodelworldonline.com or jimnohio, they may have one. I don't buy from ebay but you could try there. With all the people on this site someone should be able to help you. Good hunting. -

started out as a road tractor, then converted to a day cab and finally converted to a triaxle dump. -
Okay guys got it figured out. Went to Westmor-ind.com/tank-calculator, easy to use. AMT Pete 359 tanks are 82 gallons. Diamond REO tanks are 66 gal. Got more to do, something to do on a 8 degree night.

Hey guys, thanks for the help.

Anyone know the different fuel tank capacities of the AMT kits? I know all the WB's and engine/trans combo's but could not calculate the tank sizes. Been building since the T-500 first came out and never though about it until my grandson asked,"Hey grandpa, how many gallons does it hold?"
