  1. Engine and interior looks great! Reminds of the Gran Sport I had when I look at the interior...
  2. The stripe goes over the top of the spoiler...
  3. That looks great! Nicely detailed. Are those just O-rings you are using for the air bags?
  4. Interior is looking awesome! So is the exterior...
  5. Very nice! I am not a Gordon fan but he did have one of the better looking cars on the track back then. Great job!
  6. I like it! Like Lee said though, don't know that I like the green and the purple together but everything else looks great! The paint does look smooth though!!!
  7. Very cool start! I am a big Buick fan and especially of the Gran Sport and GSX. I have one I am planning on building myself at some point. Will love to see the rest as you progress.
  8. I don't have an extra one unfortunately...
  9. Working on my 1941 Ford Woody, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS and 1970 Buick GSX.

  10. Here are a few with the shell on... I really wanted to try and customize thing by adding spark plug wires and adding some heater hoses as well for the first time, but I am a bit nervous about ruining the model...
  11. This is the chassis with and without the engine in.
  12. Figured I would start posting more around here. I haven't been able to get much work done and there are some days I am more motivated then others. So I have put some work into my 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS kit. I was able to procure some much needed stock wheels from Scuderia (thanks again!!!) since my set went MIA. I decided I was going to add a wood base to the kit. I am using a piece of cut Styrofoam to be used as a stretch of sidewalk. I am then going to mount a piece of picket fence I found at Wally World in the craft section that I am cutting to fit. So when the base and car is done, it is going to look like it's parked out on the street in front of the white picket fence and sidewalk...
  13. Excellent build! Love seeing the garage dioramas done up right like that. It's all in the details.
  14. I try to sketch it out in my mind first and then put it to paper. Figure out what materials I will need to make it happen. Getting older so I just go right to the paper now! lol...
  15. When I finally get some done I have planned a repair shop/gas station. Something I saw photos of once before. Also either a turn or straight away a Daytona with a couple cars on it. Also wanted to do a rusted out scene. I have plenty others I have diagrammed in my mind but these are my top 3. When I finally get some done I have planned a repair shop/gas station. 16. Don't like it. Taking that Mustang look away again. The independant rear sounds nice but the car itself looks ugly.
  17. Have not experienced a Moebius kit as of yet. They have a limited selection and they are a bit steep price wise. Unfortunately I will stick with Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and AC Moore's and their same old same old as I can get 2 to 3 kits for the price of one Moebius with the coupons.
  18. Mine would have to be my 1/18th scale Buick Gran Sport GSX Stage 1's. I have the yellow and black one and the black and gold one. Have quite a few Earnhardt diecast as well. All 1/24th scale.
  19. Nice to meet you Scott. Like you I am returning to the hobby after many years off. Looking forward to seeing your work space and you're work. See you're a diecast collector as well. So am I...
  20. I get that. People keep buying them and build them differently. Or people like me who have been out of the hobby a while will re-buy them because it's what's out there. I would love to see some different stuff offered though. Some of the stuff on the BOP thread would be nice...lol.
  21. I have been disappointed with the model companies over the years with their issuing, re-issuing and re-re-issuing kits over and over again. Raising the prices a little more each time but constantly putting out the same kit over and over with no regard to us modelers who wish to see re-tooled versions of kits. You would think that in trying to keep our interest in the hobby more,m they would put out better, re-tooled versions and a better variety. Just don't get the model companies business philosphy. Someone please enlighten me!
  22. Love it so far. Especially the paint color choice! Looks good on that car so far!
  23. Great job Maik! My dad used to own a '68 which I wish he would have kept for me but I wasn't old enough for a license and he sold it to a friend instead... Excellent work though. Always admire someone who can weather a car realistically.
