Fanastic job!! Love these kind of cars. Thanks for posting!

Nice job!! Welcome back ! This car was designed by Tony Southgate and was one of the only cars with a short tail. From what I read it created excellant straight away speed with good down force. A well balanced car.

Very nice build !! Good color combo, is that red TS85 by any chance? Cheers, Jere

Not much of a WIP anymore. After a year I'm about ready to wrap this up finally!! Just a couple carbon fiber decals, the mirrors, and I was 4 rivets short on the one side. I'm really happy with it, being it my first modern F1 build. This should be in the Under Glass section soon! Jere

Dante, The carbon decals are Scale Motorsport 1024 twill weave. It's a Fujimi kit. Jere

that is very nice build., Did you have any problems with the kit or the HD photoetch. I have both in my stash. Joe, The only thing I can remember having a problem with on the kit, was the back glass needs to be shorten alittle to fit in its spot. I think I even sanded the mounting area towards the back. Just test fit it and you will see what I'm talking about. The HD photo-etch is really nice, but be careful it is easy to bend. It's very thin and soft. Was it a challenge to get the photoetch buckles where you wanted them on the belts? Curtis, kinda, I pulled on them with a tweezers to the right length then folded it around the buckle, then stuck a chunk of double sided tape between the belt material. Then just pinched it together. Thanks again for liking my car!! It's really nice to hear. Jere

Hey Guys, Thank you for the nice words! I'm really happy with the way this turned out and also really glad you guys like it. The seat belts are from Tuner Model Manufactory or T2M. One word of caution when using these belts, the adhesive on the back of the belt material doesnt stick very well. I used the double face tape that comes with Model Factory Hiro's belt set to put them together. The Ferrari emblems are decals from the T2M belt set. The belt hardware came in the Hobby Design Photo etch set. Jere

Thank you for the compliments. I saw a picture of one of these cars with a similar color scheme and thought it looked cool. Yeah I get sick of red on Ferraris too. The color is called Azzurro blue. The stripe decals are from Hobby Design. Just in case anybody is wondering. Jere

John, You are a scratch building animal!!! Awesome work dude Jere -
Hello, I started this about a year ago and worked on it off and on between other builds. It's a Fujimi kit. I used Studio 27 carbon decals. There are over 200 in the set so it is the longest part of the build! The gold insulation is candy wrapper foil. Museum Collection sponsor decals. Paint is Tamiya TS-8 with Dupont 2 part clear. Top Studio .7mm rivets. It's my first 1/20 scale modern F1 car. I'm a Fernando Alonso fan. So it's fitting that I would build his version. The pics are sporadic because I didn't plan on posting them at first. More pics will follow soon. Thanks for looking!!! Jere
