  1. I noticed the same thing !!
  2. Brad, you knocked this right out of the park !! Very interesting subject matter with an excellent execution ..... A diorama on wheels, Well done !!!!!!!! Alan
  3. VERY interesting and well done ! Alan
  4. Rickard, THIS is the type of building that is truely impressive, ....... to scale and prototypically CORRECT ... nice to see Alan
  5. This just keeps getting better and more interesting!! ........ A fire poker and ash shovel and bucket needed but I bet you already have those in the works too lol. Alan
  6. Just thought of a detailing tip for the window glass. That old glass was really wavy, one could brush some white glue on one side in different areas and build it up in different areas to create the wave effect .............
  7. Also how about a small filled wood or coal box for the stove ? Alan
  8. Like I told you, I am loving this build Brad ! You going hang an oil lamp at the back door ? Oh, needs a little cat or dog curled up on the bed too lol Alan
  9. Did you machine the turbo impellers ?
  10. Terry, take this kit cover, reshape it to the correct shape which in turn will reduce its overall size cause it is way too big, and add some bolt detail to the water port block off plates and it would be a nice rendition ... You have the skills man, I have seen what you can do with wood !!!! you copy that ? LOL Alan
  11. Change your mind about it Brad ? This is the foundation of a GREAT kit ...... Try the original box art build, a fellow up here in BC is one of those killer factory stock builders and he did the original red and silver box art build and it was such an eye grabber ! Also check out Ed Flucks builds of the 37 VERY nice builds ... he also offers a chopped body in resin, IF he has anf left .... Alan
  12. That timing cover in the kit is not even close to a 1to1 and is totally the wrong shape and way oversized, it would need some reshaping to being close to accurate but could be done. There are much better Chev timing covers in various kits ... Do a little research and you will see ...... Alan
  13. LOL, that is the EXACT build I had in mind, saw it when you came up to a show held in BC in Surrey Alan
  14. Nobody builds the later version nor the very early version either, I have only seen one over the years. Most build it as the issued kit.
  15. Engine incl. heads, Omaha orange, trans Aluminum Alan

  19. Hi Niko, it is when the car should have a TH400, Torqueflite or Clutchflite automatic and NOT a 4 speed manual !! So yes, it IS a critical error. Is a builder that lazy to make such an error, or it is a matter of not knowing your subject matter? Sorry but when I see stuff like this or, a bunch of plumbing and wiring that goes to places that is definately should NOT go, or wrong engine/parts application it just does not cut it with me ...........
  20. John, You like to soak up all the compliments but when asked by people who actually KNOW about cars and how they work, about the major flaws in your builds you ignore the questions??? Is the truth too hard for you to deal with? Many think you are such a great builder, clean yes, some aspects done nicely yes, but then more often than not you drop the ball with stuff so incorrect and wrong I have to wonder as to what is the point in going to the extreme just to mess things up with such obvious critical errors. A manual 4 speed transmission shifted with a B&M Pro Ratchet, really????? Sorry but I am not impressed in the least,
  21. Too bad you did not replace the incorrect 4 speed manual for a proper automatic John. B&M Pro Ratchets don't shift 4 speeds too well. In my opinion no matter how detailed a build is, there is no excuse for a critical error like that, it just does not cut it sorry. I am just calling it like it is .......
  22. I can tell you right now, it is totally wrong .......... The restored car has a modern B&M ratchet shifter and an auto transmission ... John's rendition is wrong period, he has a 4 speed in his model along with the auto shifter, so it twice as wrong in that regard. I don't understand going to those lengths to build a replica then to make such a mistake.
  23. John, you have an automatic shifter but a 4 speed std transmission which is totally incorrect. That era FC usually ran Chrysler 727 TF's and/or TH400's as well as Clutchflites .........
  24. Actually the R Code 427 Fairlanes were not "lightweight" cars like the Galaxy. Who casts the shock mounts ? Alan
  25. Another thing I notice on most builds of this kit and the 67 Comet, nobody adds fabbed or resin cast upper shock mounts to the front spring/shock towers which are so blatantly missing from these kits..................
