  2. Im heading down to charelston wv this weekend and was wondering if there are any good hobby shops in the area? I did a google search but only found hobby lobby and michaels.
  3. Also went out to ikea with the wife and bought a new bigger table and a few lamps. I was us in a small desk and ran out of space fast
  4. Went to two local hobby shops.first one was getting rid of alclad paints. I paid $5 for the 4oz black and 2.99 each for chrome and brushed aluminum. I also picked up two kits. The viper kit was $4 and the barracuda was $5. Went to the other shop and bought two paint stands and 2 wired distributors and some sheet styrene
  5. I haven't given up yet. Im going to autorama tomorrow to pick up a few more kits. Then I'm locking myself in the room to figure the out
  6. I will try that this weekend. It seems like every time I spray no matter how I mixed it or my air pressure the paint looks textured. I have tried it quite a few times with the same results. I have mixed with both floor polish and windshield washer solvent.
  7. I have been trying this since you posted your other video last week. And for the life of me I can't figure it out.

  10. I just picked up a food dehydrator. It doesn't have a temperature control. I saw online that someone wired in a switch and a dimmer to control temp. I have been Google searching a how to but can't seem to find anything. Anyone know how to do it?
  11. I have used it to spray a body yet. I have sprayed interior parts and it seems to work great. I used some masking tape and taped all the joints where the panels connect.
  12. Just went downstairs to check on the progress. Its been 3 days now and its working. Just a slow process. If its not stripped by friday night I'm going to buy alcohol both kinds rubbing and drinking.
  13. The guy was an ass on the phone. I have a short temper so I'm just going to leave it alone.
  14. Well I called him and he's pretty firm at 35. I decided to pass because he was being a jerk on the phone.
  15. The reason I ask is I am horrible at negotiating prices. So I figured I would find out what other people paid and go from there
  16. Im not sure if this is the right section or not. I was just looking on craigslist and found a guy selling a model masters paint rack that he said he got from a hobby shop that was closing. Before I go pick it up I was wondering how much they usually go for? I called him and he said to come out and look at it and make an offer
  17. Great.... well that explains why it was by one get one free.
  18. I have seen a lot of people on here are using super clean to strip paint. Sunday morning I bought 2 gallons to give it a try. I have had 2 cars soaking since then and it has barely touched the paint. Both cars were painted with duplicolor white primer nail polish base color and duplicolor clear. I took them out yesterday and tried scrubbing with a toothbrush but that did nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
