Don't really want to reveal my final idea. I mean, it's nothing too special. It's going to be "murdered out" though. Matte black finish with gloss black accents, deep tint on the windows and a couple other suprises

Actually 1:18 scale....oops Felt like taking apart a Jada Toys Dodge Charger to repaint and add some doo-dads. Stock photo I have her all dismantled right down to the smallest trim right now. Waiting to grab some brake fluid to strip the paint. I'll have dismantled pics tonight (if any interest)

He was a custom I was working on. Was going to make some cyborg type figure, but lost steam when I couldn't find an appropriate sized head. He's just over 12" tall

Still in the parts gathering/idea mode. Although I picked out a sweet "hood ornament" -
I created this as a photo background for the Sigma 6 line of GI Joe figures (8") Sadly, the only time I ever used it was to take the pictures you see below. This sits in the workshop now, as I have moved on from the Sigma 6 line: Sigma 6 Warehouse office As you will be able to see, I can easily change this from a Joe "office" to a Cobra "office" by replacing a couple of accessories and turning the crate around. That way, I can use it for pictures of both sides. COBRA STYLE I keep the accessories in one of the "55 gallon drums" JOE STYLE RANDOM SHOTS FOR SCALE NIGHT SHOT

Ed, This is quite possibly the biggest compliment I have ever received! I am NOWHERE near the skill level of Ken. I am not familiar with Barbo's work, but I shall seek out the one named Barbo. Thanks Ed. I am so critical of my work, it's sometimes hard to accept such a compliment ! CrazyJim, I used some stuff I found at the local craft store for making "water" in vases for floral arrangements. What I like about it more than the Woodland Scenics water is that it hardends almost like silicone, so it's very easy to peel off and re-do. Gregg, you got me on that one. If I am going to be "Mr. Detail" I should have thrown in a cockroach or 100....lol

Don't worry. I haven't built a model car in over 25 years......literally.....that would mean 10 year old CustomCreator was making a glue bomb and painting it with brushes....so don't feel too "amature" -
Sorry these aren't car related TMNT Sewer Finally finished!

Still kicking around some ideas, and not to offend anyone here, trying to think in total opposites from all of you guys. So far it's gotten me more confused, but I don't want to just stick some guns on it and call it a day......I'll let you know when the lighting bolt strikes. And again, no offense at ALL intended to anyone here, as I think these builds are so great so far! -

Yea, my LHS has it, and I know it's not cheap, that's why I am kind of looking for a variety pack so I can get a couple sizes all in one whack without having to buy multiple packages. Thanks for the great info though, sorry to steer the thread off track -

Nice work Barry, and pure inspriation. I have a quick question for all you pros out there(one of many I am sure) Is there somewhere I can get a big "variety" pack of styrene/evergreen? I know I buy my wood in little pack with all different size and shapes. Looking for rods and stuff. -

Yeesh, I opened up the truck last night, and "intimidated" seems to less of a word to use. I never remember how small these things are...lol. I had put aside some accessories, and all of them were WAY oversized...lol. When a hand gun can look like a cannon on the roof, I need to re-think my build. At least I have a year. Do you guys paint the parts before assembly, or after?? I am thinking painting everything while it's on the sprues would make things easier???? -

The only modern vehicle I was considering was a Fire truck or some type of government vehicle The Camaro just didn't have enough "real estate" in it to be able to make a viable PA vehicle. Older vehicles to me make more sense as if there was some type of catastrophe, cars on the street would be the first to be damaged, leaving people to discover cars in storage units/barns, etc. Also, older vehicles are made of thicker metal than today's cars, making them ideal to use when fighting Zombies/invaders/whatever. -

I hemmed and hawed at the LHS yesterday for about 30 minutes on what direction I wanted to take. I was torn because if this is supposed to be a 2012 apocalypse, then why would someone be tooling around in a 64 Galaxie, ya know? I picked up a 2011 Chevy Camaro kit and was set on using that. However, my eye kept falling back on the same box over and over, and in the end I said, "screw it", this thing is too badass to not use it. I give you..... I am calling it the "Hell Truck" at that's about as far as I have gotten. I think the name on the side already screams Zombie Hunter, so we'll see about keeping that decal somewhat intact. Now it's onto learning how to build a model car.......lol. No better place to learn than here though! I already started rooting around my diorama/robots box for accessories and I am dreaming up some nice modifications on it. Hope I can actually pull it all off with my limited modeling abilities. -

I haven't build a model in over 24 years, but I love me some Post Apocalyptic type stuff. Count me in Cranky! -
Thanks everyone, this was my first real "big scale" diorama, and still my favorite.

Let's face it, we all love to show off our hard work. Trouble is, there is not always the right place to do this. Sure there are multiple sites scattered across the interwebs, but how about a forums that support every size/shape/medium for your customs? Be it dioramas, model cars, action figures, etc. How about a community that is focused on only talking customs, tips, etc? Well, I hope I have created such a place. I am also looking for mods. Please check us out, and if I am stepping on toes here, please delete this thread. Customizer's Workbench
