After a 30+ year hiatus from modeling I am back at the bench. The last kit I built was Johnny Rutherfords McLaren M16C/D in 1992, before that it had been years since I built a kit. (mid 70s) Even though I was not building I continued to buy kits in the hopes of building again someday. I have a stash of 100+ kits 95% of which are race cars, Mostly Drag and INDY. Most are original issues still sealed from back in the day. Many from back in the day when Revell was sponsoring 1:1 to promote model sales.

I have been racing since age nine (started in karts in 1964) and still do to this day. Many different types of cars in 5 decades

I am a Mechanical Engineer and have worked in the commercial HVAC arena all of my career.

At the age of 14 there was a Custom Paint shop about a mile from my house that I used to hang out at, the owner would chase me away but I would come back in a few days and he would chase me off again, Finally after weeks of this he threw a boom in my direction and put me to work for $1.50/hr.

It was 1969 and this was a full on Custom Paint and Metal Fab Shop. I worked there for four years and learned how to do metal finishing, lead work and my favorite, Custom Paint. Lace, Freak Drops, Multi Colored Kandies and Pearls you name it we did it.

I started doing Freehand Pinstriping, Lettering, Airbrush at 16 years old and still do it today as a side line. I am a member of the Pinhead and Letterhead movement and attend a few panel jams each year, I have the pleasure to have as my friends some of the greatest painters in the world!!! of which I used to read about in all the car magazines when I was a young man. I look forward to each event I attend and am in awe of the talent I witness at each event.
