About Me
I'm a founding member and offficer in the Portland, Oregon based "Scale Auto Builder's Association" (SABA). Retired from a long career in the beverage industry. After retirement I became a docent at the World of Speed Motorsports Museum in Wilsonville, Oregon until it's untimely closing because of COVID restrictions and concerns.
My involvement with World of Speed gave me close access to all forms of performance machines from the every day muscle machines, land speed record breakers, indy, endurance racers and everything in between. I also enjoy going to motorsports events especially attending Montery "Car Week".
I started model building in the early "60s when I was 8 years old after along recovery from surgery kept me from physical activity . Through all life's changes I never really stopped building other than slowing down now and then. Now most of my passion is building race cars but I have a soft spot for Chevies especailly those from 1962-70. My pride and joy is when I recreated my late Father's 19666 Malibu and taking it to show off at GSL. Didn't win anything but Dad's Malibu has taken awards in many other shows.
