Thanks guys glad u like it. Bad news is i hacked off the rear bars to redo them they were to short . But i made a little more progress i have started fabbing in my four link. I hope to have the roller done by tonight so i can start working on the rest of the truck.

And btw this is a tough truck to tub because the bedsides are sigle walled so where the flare ends is it far as u can go.

At first i liked the second shot but now everyone is leaning me towards the rake. This project kinda got outta hand at first i just wanted a fat tired street truck next thing i no it full tube chassis

So i finally got some more work done on this slowly but surely. Heres some pics of that. I also have added some stance pics tell me what u guys think go raked or lift the front more like a street truck?

Not to knock ur build but the front side of the turbo is where pull ur fresh air from this is the compressor side. From there the air comes out of the compressor housing which would be where ur pipe hooks to. From that hook up it goes to the intercooler and then from the intercooler to thenl throttle body. The turbine bolts to the manifold then the pipe hook up is where ur exhaust would come out

Looks like a front mount turbo setup to me

With my crazy work schedule i only got a small amount of work done but here it is .

Hopefully i can get some update pics up i have my rear section formed and drive shaft loops done. After that ill finished the cage and start motor mockup for my turbo setup

So i decided since i hate to waste anything ill be continuing on with what i got . This will be a learning experience for next time. I do have a question what glue are you using as of now im using testors and jconceepts ca glue i had laying around from racing.

Unfortunatley i felt like i couldn't make any progress so i boxed it once again and started building my lil red express drag truck.

No man i appreciate it . Thats why i posted it so i could get some feedback. This is all a learning curve for me im used to just building box stock models with some small mods nothing like this. So keep it coming.

Thanks for the info i just looked them up and mine is almost double that size. Ill decide whether i want to restart with the right stuf or not. Maybe ill finish this with what i have and do another project later with the right stuff.

I have not decided whether i wanna go full blown drag truck or nasty street truck but do to the chassis provided being junk i have decided to build my very first tube chassis. Please give me any tips ud like since this is my first one and i wanna learn. So far i have some of the base chassis done and the roll cage done. Im thinking it will be getting a turbo small block for powertrain. Let me know what you think !

This is actually two kits the front half of the cab and hood are the vts ram model kit. The back half you see in black is from a ram 2500 snap together kit . I was going to use the short bed from the white kit but liked the look of the long bed

So I started this build awhile ago and got discouraged because it wasnt as realistic as i wanted. I finally decided to pick it back up and just finish it and chock it up as a learning experience. This was my first fabricated frame truck so hopefully i can learn for when i build my prostreet little red express. Let me know what u think. As of right now im 4 linking the rear for a bag on bar set up. Also it will be getting a functioning audio system with a custom made box

How do you get such nice bends in your styrene i tried it today and no bueno. Also how do you now ur cage dimesnions when building do you draw out the car on a board or something?

Haha thats awesome, in college my roomate was the son of the guy who originally built and drove that car. I love that car too. Be sweet to build a model of that lol.

I wanna make two lil'reds one is gunna be a minitruck, the other prostreet setup . Looks awesome man keep up the good work.
