I scored this with three other kits on Ebay. SO I started with this one to see what the differences were between this one and the IMEX that I just completed. They are exactly the same kits right down to the instructions and decals. In any case, it's on the bench and going together quite nicely.

After seeing some of your work I consider that one of the finest compliments that I could receive. I have three kits arriving tomorrow. a 1/12 scale IMEX Springer. a Testors 1/9 scale Softail and a 1/10 scale Academy Wide Glide. Got all three for 30 bucks. So I'll be in motorcycle building heaven for a while.....

My 1/9 Heritage Softail is finally complete. I wish to send a heartfelt thanks out to Harry P. for providing the inspiration for this model as well as a little "help" in giving up a few of his "secrets". Again, Thanks!!!!!

IMEX Heritage Softail evening update. Here's a few shots of the in-progress construction. I believe that I am finished for the night and will pick up tomorrow sometime.

Only the head and tail light. The LED's that are small enough to go in the turn signal and running lights are just a little too expensive for my wallet at this time. Shoot, I am lucky to afford a model kit about once a month......

Thanks, Harry, I appreciate that coming from you. Yours was the inspiration for this one. But I doubt that this one would be able to compete with it. This is the first large scale I have done in, quite literally, YEARS. I have three more large scale on order that should be arriving sometime next week. So we'll see how the next ones stand up.

Just a little update. I am wiring the Heritage for the head and tail lights to operate. The installation of the LED's and the wiring has been done. The "black" in the headlight is due to the flash that was used. I am hoping to get this working correctly and end up with a good looking, show quality model....

The Heritage Softail finally arrived. Just started work on it and the detail appears to be of good quality. Very little flash and, so far, not a lot of trimming or sanding has been needed. I am taking a little inspiration from Harry P. here and am changing this one up quite a bit from the out-of-the-box version. Here are a few photos so far.......

WOW....looks GREAT!!!!! Here's my next project. Waiting for it's arrival from Ebay. I have some big plans for this one. Haven't done anything bigger than 1/12 in a while so this should be a good challenge to get detailed out......

Greetings everyone!!!...... I am new to this board but not to modeling. I generally build 1/24 scale trucks but have been known to jump into the motorcycle models once in a while. I have been out of the modeling arena for about 20 some years so I am just getting started back up again. I was surprised to see just how much has changed in that time. Things that I only wished for back then have become a reality now. However, I sure wish the model prices were still at THOSE prices....LOL... I'll post a few photos of my first builds soon and I am always open to comments, both good and bad..... Thanks for this forum and I hope to be hearing from some of you relatively soon!!!!
