Just Wicked Tyrone . -
Got a little more done in the past few days. Whittled out the valve covers, still need to finish the breathers. Still have a year till Model Car Sunday. Thanks. Jeff.

I finished up the manifold , then made the trumpet stacks out of 3/32 alum. tube. Each set are opposed 10 degrees from each other. I had a custom 60 degree dovetail cutter made to do the under cut. I think it looks more representative of the 1/1 part. Thanks for the comments and time . Jeff

I've been looking at eight stack injection systems and desided that the manifold in the AWB kits are not correct. They direct the flow into the lifter galley, not angled into the cylinder head. So going to try and fab one up.

All I can say is WOW . Tim your machining skills and attention to detail are at the top of pyramid for sure . I really like the size of your rotary table , mine must be three times that size . Tim did you post a how to on pics from a phone so everyone could see them ? Would like to change how I post . Awesome work , keep it fun Jeff -
Hi Andy , thanks for your interest . I steady the blade movement with my fingertip and just plunge in. Start with a smaller dia than your shooting for. Measure and adjust X axis.

Had a little spare time to play. I'm using an old body for mock up purposes. I switched to the 55 hardtop wheels same as the 67. Now it's time to stuff the chassis under it . Thanks for looking in. Jeff

Hi Grandpa, the Chevelle is in the Under Glass posts. This Nova will differ from it in these areas, an eight stack big block, gold or copper color and gold line tires.
-
I'm just getting started on an AMT pro street nova. After some arm twisting I was talked into building it for a close friend we'll call Grandpa. It is going to be a sister car to my purple 67 Chevelle. First priority , wheels and tires. I used Revell try 5 wheels and there Firestone pro street tire . The pics pretty much show the process .

Thanks for the kind words. The headlamps are made from 1/4 inch aluminum with 69 Camaro park light lens. On to something else. Jeff

I just finished up this project. Made some retro headlamps and a fuel tank. Just in time for Modelfest tomorrow woo!!!

This is a simple how to reverse the gasser mod on the back fenders . My own opinion is that nose down Willys have stock wheel wells ,nose up gasser style have radius fenders. Just my opinion . Start by cutting three strips of Evergreen .040 flat stock. Glue in place and I use tires to press in place and keep the filler strips square. Be generous with the size of the strips. After some grinding and sanding you will have a more stock looking opening.

great looking willys, love the stance and exhaust cut outs. I used the gasser headers with aluminum tube on my black willys, but Ithink my openings were farther back. look foreward to more updates. Jeff

Thanks for the kind words. Yes those Boot Hill 12 spokes are way out of scale, a 1967 mistake. We have Really Really good coffee here. I'm about out of parts for now, will finish it when I get home. Thanks for your time. Jeff

OK , I'm in Kailua-Kona now . And I brought the tiki project along to work on. Painted everything Rust-o-Leum Aged copper. Added Koa wood strips to the opened roof.

Last August I was in Kauai on a family vacation . I packed along a model project . A Beach Boys 32 frame , 30 ford body parts , Boot Hill drive train pieces , and a few tools. In my spare time I got the parts mocked up. Thanks for looking in. Jeff

Thanks Leslie , I cut thru the frame rails just foreward of the floor pan. Cut from the bottom and not all the way thru. Then raise the front tip about 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch, and reinforce the pie cut area. I"ll try to get a pic posted. Good luck with your build and show us pics. Jeff

Many thanks Chris , a stock 57 has a 115" wheel base . I"m thinking aTDR starting point . Also leaning towards a strip only car. Thanks again Jeff.
-
I made some progress over the weekend. A front cover,Jesel pulleys, and a damper. Just wondering, what wheelbase a TDR Chassis is??? Thanks for all the Comments,it sure helps keep the fire going.

Awesome car Tyrone . U've got your builds down to a science . I'm such a scatter brain that I can't stay one subject. Your collection would sure look cool in a starting line , staging lanes diorama. , -
