  1. Why Not, ya got enough room on your plate for another build?

Holy Cow BigBlockLyle That is Soo Late 70s to early 80s :DB)

Time to Tub it out and drop it.

Or just take the Engine cover out and stuff in a Hemi with a Hi-rise :D

Paint looks good on it, it must be an older version with the details still visible.

That's the look I was going for. 1970's cruiser.

Nope, it's staying the way it sits.

That'd be nice if I had the parts.

Thanks, it's Testors Lacquer, I love this stuff. It might be an older one, but the interior leaves alot to be desired so the rear windows are getting either mirror (if I can do it) or black limo tint.

  2. Well, I finally got a chance to do a qiuck mock up of the plow, and if this is supposed to be an 84 inch plow, I'll eat my hat!:lol: Here is the main plow piece in front of an old Revell wrecker.

Even though it's not the best pic, I measured the blade itself with my 1/25 scale ruler, and the blade is a scale 12 feet wide.

You might still get it to work with modification, and here are a scan of the instructions of the rest of the bits and pieces.

That may be my best bet. I could trim it length wise and cut it down height wise to make it more P/U appropriate. Now to find one. :D:lol:

what about the snow plow from the RoG Unimog?

I've never seen the one frome that kit and I've never even seen the kit itself either.

  3. Hey there guys, some of you may know that I am building a snowplow and I found a board that would be perfect for a single vehicle diorama. I'm wanting to replicate it plowing a parking lot or sitting there in the snow with the plow up. I need to know how to replicate snow. Any ideas?

  4. Hey guys, got some work done on my plow truck. I detailed the grille up to be a basic GMC grille (Base model style) got the suspension set about where its going to be, I may lift it slightly. I got the bed made along with the rear drop down. I just need to get some supply's to build the plow and detail the bed. Here's some pics.

  5. Ok, here are some pics of where I'm at with this so far. It started as a junk cab the I got with a box of parts and a frame. I painted the cab Chevrolet Orange Engine Paint. I'm using an original 1982 4x4 Stepside Chevy by MPC as a donor for the front axle and for some other various parts such as the wheels. I am on the search for some old school tires for it, like you would see in the 80's on 4x4's. I found 2 Firestones from the MK 79 F350 and would love a full set (PM me if anyone has a set they can part with.) This truck will have the beacon light on top and will have a diamond tread flatbed. That's all I've got so far, hopefully more updates soon.

  6. 79 Still had the hood with two scallops and it was the only year for quad headlights. Friend of mine owns a real long bed version for years now. That would have to be an 80's up with the flat hood and single lights.

DWC43, my father and I bought a 1979 Dodge Longbed D100 Custom Adventurer from the original owner back in the mid 90's and it had the tall hood (as I like to call it) that came on the 79-93 trucks. It had never been wrecked, just repainted when the lady's husband lost his mind and painted it Baby Blue with house paint with a brush and roller. Every 1979 Dodge I have seen, has the tall hood.

1320, I have a 1978 Lil Red Express hood if you would like it. I am trying to find the correct 1979 hood for my project.
