  1. It seems the ford kit roof cut somewhere toward the middle, leaving the front end, a-pillars, windshield, and such intact would yield more accurate contour for ranchero roof. Then adapt or scratch the sail posts. Look real close at the rear of the cab/bed trim/window trim.
  2. in the 1962 chevy II, a new 194 thrift 6 (I think) was released as an upgrade to the base 4 cyl. 63 brought about the 230, and the 250 followed (don't recall the year, would have to go to ref material). Biggest giveaway on early (216.5, 235) and late (194, 230, 250, and 292) is as simple as rounded old and squared new. Then there's lots of detail ways, but let's save that for the old GMC inline sixes, (OK, not 261, the 270 and 303 to name a couple) versus Chevy early 6.MCW resin says the eng-01 kit is for the early chevy II bodies being cast.
  3. Check out mcw 60s chev 6 cyl. I think it is a good start if not sufficient as is.
  4. Thank you each for your welcome posts. I actually posted to the wanted section first. Hope I did not offend anyone (or am I simply getting to meet personalities). I felt a little guilty about doing so without posting here so I introduced myself by what is pertinent to this forum about me and the starting relationship I hope to have here.
  5. My name is Jim Saunders. Having been bitten by some bug back "in the day", I have appreciated motor vehicles of all types, kinds, and brands for quite some time. Over the years I purchased many model kits with the intention of building them in retirement. Not gonna happen. This collection started in the early to mid 70s and is "preferenced" to sports and racing cars, with many others purchased for support parts. I recently purchased a fullsize 1966 Ranchero and will be restoring it (43K mi, 200 6cyl/3spd column shift) and will be replicating it in 1/25 scale as well. Rather than scratch build, I would like to save time by trading for a good to great resin replica. I know they were/are not plentiful, but I am sure I have something worth trading. Thanks. Hope everyone enjoys modeling as much as I do and gets to build their dream.
