  1. Plan too Matt. Thanks guys. For the engine as I said mine was a 86 and the other I found was a 86 I did find a photo of a 84 's engine and it was black. I miss my 86 too and I will buy another one day even if I have to sell my current 93
  2. I need to fix two low spots on the hood but I started assembling the kit anyway(I stil need to get some plastic filler to fill in the hood). Photo's of the engine and interior, The kit called for a few colors different then I remember my SVO having some things like the engine the kit called for a satin black yet mine and another I found on the internet had blue engines, the kit came with a chrome rocker cover the real car it is black. So my engine is blue with a white oil filter which would be the correct color for a Motorcraft FL-1 filter. The kit calls for a satin black interior my car had a gray interior and that is how I'm building it.
  3. While taking time to allow paint to dry and what not on my 58 Belevedere my wife bought me a 85 Mustang SVO. Thing is I had a 86 Mustang SVO years ago. So this one is pretty much going to be a stock build with a charcoal grey interior and silver body.
  4. Early Hemi is the perfect choice.
  5. HAHAHA I had no idea you were here too, nice idea too.
  6. Started to spray the actual colors on the body. Sprayed the roof in pearl was going great then I noticed dark spots in the pearl. I was using a craft paint thinned with washer fluid. What would be my best option to fix this issue? I'm thinking of just stripping the roof and starting over.
  7. I already fitted the wheels and glue them to the chassis, I did consider flipping them but the steering linkage wouldn't line up.
  8. One thing I wish I researched more was how to lower the front end, the rear was easy I was going to just make a set of drop blocks since the rear suspension is a spring under design. I might buy another one to mess around with lowering it, I was thinking I could have just flipped the steering knuckles from left to right and relocate the steering arms. I didn't want to do all that much work but looking back I wish I did it already. I might be OK with it once it is finished.
  9. That is what I'm thinking
  10. My wife bought me a 85 Mustang SVO I already started on it(already needing to be sprayed) But it will be a stock build since both my brother and I had silver ones in the past. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10208232137186974.1073741858.1408891098&type=1&l=eebf74efdd My current real Mustang
  11. Thank you everyone, now I just need the weather to be better so I can spray it already. Does anyone know a good way to trim the wheel centers, I need to move the wheels @ 1/8" in to clear the quarter panels and fenders. I am thinking if trying to use a cut off wheel on my Dremel but think the wheel may be too large.
  12. I just got back into building models too. Check out my 58 Plymouth build I just posted. I an a certified service tech but I am not a paint and body guy at all.
  13. Wheels and brakes I ordered
  14. Was playing with wheels from a few old Viper kits I've never assembled and a Prowler I never assembled.
  15. Just getting back into building models after a 20+ year break. Seen Christine at a local Micheal's and had to buy it huge fan of the book and movie(rare since I usually dislike movies from books). But I'm not building it as a Christine, yes still going to be red and white but a Metallic Red and Pearl White. For the interior I've gone with a black and tan. I also ordered a set of Torque Thrust wheels and disk brakes for it. Time for pics

  19. I just joined the other day and figured I should do an introduction. I used to build models often when I was a kid, then moved onto building and racing RC cars for many years. Then I started driving and that turned into modifying and racing real cars. Anyway my real car a 93 Mustang is in the body shop getting a few upgrades again and I am home do to injury at work. Decided to pick up a model kit while at Michael's with my wife.I forgot how much fun model building is. Kit is a Christine but I'm not building it as Christine. Album on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10208176436154483.1073741856.1408891098&type=1&l=32de33bd4a of it.
