What a rare sight! Well done! For me one of the nicest american cars of the beginning 90ies! We don´t have much of them here in Germany but I´m always happy to see one. Here´s one shot at a carshow in september:

Nice model! Was the Speedster-Corvette available at car dealers, or is it a kind of prototype/custom? What´s the red on the steering-wheel?

This one is older. It was built for a contest theme "Non-V8" for the 2007 Little Wheelies Model Car Nats in Hannover/Germany. This Contest used to be a nice get-together of fellow modellers. Sadly it no longer exists. The good thing was, that modellers judged each other with no jury. Since it was non-V8, my little 1:25 dude tries to make a V7 out of his Chevy... I don´t know if it would work in 1:1 but it was big fun to build! Look what he´s reading (on the passengers seat). Sorry for the somewhat crude photos, but they´re from 2007 as well.

Nice job! Will the rims be weathered as well?

It´s Revell-AG´s Beetle, mostly oob with bumpers from the convertible and Model Wheel Works BRM-wheels Paint is Tamiya red. Thanks for Watching!
