Not dead....just stalled out with life projects.

Working getting the Mach 1 mustang to sit in the Torino chassis. Little trim and shim. Also added an actuator to the Air cleaner. 1:64 scale interior is coming along. Top removed and shaving the fast back deck. Found a donor with perfect bench seat. 1:18 scale interior is shaping up (removed console).

Awesome! I’m in west linn

Thank you! Looks like super thin styrene strips. That could work. I think etching might be a bit to much. This should be fun

I’m going to be building a Chevy Swb truck similar to the one in photo. I’ll be Using the snow plow gmc truck as a starting point. what is the best way to create the body molding? (As circled) thanks!

thank you! I bought the one i have a couple years back....and don't recall what it was off of. Eyeballing it....i think it will work as far as length/width. the back window will need to be modified. I've seen one done that used a '65 Impala top and boot. these were big cars! I've been keeping my eye open for some of those bigger late 50's - early 70s convertibles for the parts. The boot on my car is particularly flat...dare i say concave. I figure that once the hard top is cut off, i can get more serious about top/boot dimensions...

Yep. Same car. Sans the sheep skin seat covers and body line moldings. We hit a deer in ‘87, so the grille was eventually replaced with a hideaway set up.

I actually really like the top up. White/red Here i am at 7 years old, and then my son after the restoration....Same neighborhood.

Great fab work. That 70.5 falcon is legit! I’m looking at 59 impalas as a boot donor.

To make this project more challenging, I’m attempting to build three scales in parallel. I think building the 1:1 was actually easier. ?

Ha! It’s one of 3900~. 351c 2v car. Not super rare, but you generally don’t see them often. The red on red was fairly unique. I restored it to original, although I upgraded the wheels.

working with the resin body has been interesting. soft lines, globs of material, mis fit with the GT components. Just like the real cars ?

just to make things interesting, attempting to make this a top down or top up model. Fireball set me up with staggered BFG shoes

Started this build a few years back. Slow slow progress. Essentially building a tribute to my 1:1 Torino convertible. I'm using the Revell Streetburner 1970 Torino GT kit as my base. That said, I bought a formal roof resin body that will replace the fastback body. Here are some 'go-by' photos of my car

only 4-5 years late...but here are a few pics of the General. I'm a novice builder with high expectations. ? what an amazingly challenging hobby. Ended up not using one part from the General Lee kit. I used the Revell 69 Charger as my starting point. created my own decals, push bar, roll bar and antenna. Wheels are from Fireball. was able to complete the 89 Batmobile ...as I finished the General. still working on the Torino...will post in it's own thread.

this looks like a great thread. can the the broken image links be fixed? -
Hi. I grew up building models and just getting back into it. Finally have the patience, time, etc. to do them right. Currently working on a General Lee I started some 15 years ago. Enjoying creating my own decals and scratch building components. But even more exciting....I plan to start a 1:25th tribute to my 1:1 Torino convertible. Looking to start a build thread and also a want ad or two.
