belfast boyo replied to tedd60's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
Austin Marina, they were always a Morris over here. The Spridget was just a toy for Phil,he bought it after coming home from Iraq! my dad owned a 'fleet' of Rover P6s in the 70s. They were great cars to travel in as kid,the seperate seats in the back were brill as a sprog,we would do many trips on vacation and they would just eat the miles up. -

That reminds me of a friends 64 Midget ( a cali re-import..) with a 1275 engine, man that wee critter was tail happy even in the dry! -
Might combine this... With this, the Chevy body is a write off and it has a 427. No idea on this but it might...be a donor for a Mini.

Fancy doing a wagon, but with twist. It is done in Humbrol chrome silver but that is only a base colour. The engine bay is nicely detailed. The colour? it is a Kwacker candy green,it has scope for going pear shaped though...

Got the engine painted and fitted. Weathered/rusted up the headers with some powder dipped in white spirit (stodart solvent?) This stuff. How it looks now.
