Last year I was fortunate enough to get my first Mopar Muscle Car. So I decided to build a model of it. Come to find out there is no mass produced 70 Dart kit. Found out that Bandit Resins makes a 70 Dart Body. Had to get the Revell 68-69 Dart as a donor car for the chassie, engine, glass, and interior. Working with the Resin was quite a challenge and I had a hard time getting paint to adhere to the plastic. Yes I did wash the parts thoroughly before the lacquer primer went on. Had to respray parts of the body several times. Did the best I could. It is a good copy of my real car except the engine. My car has a 360 not a 340 as the kit does.

I built this kit as a warm up to my 70 Dart resin kit.

That blows my first model out of the water. However I was 6 years old. But seriously that is awesome for a first timer. Welcome to the club.

What should I use to bind a resin plastic to a regular kit (Revell) plastic. I am doing a 70 dart using the 68-69 dart kit for the chassis and windows. Also any advice on how to re create a black vinyl top?

Very nice. I did that kit years ago in a light blue. That was before I was aware of foil. Yours is sweet.

I want to take my building to the next level. Been using an airbrush for years but want to get better at it. I am just amazed at how good the detail is on some of the models on this site. Are there any model shows in the Cleveland, Ohio area?

Man you're a good builder. That is one rare color combo. Hard to imagine someone ordered a car that way. Very unique.
