Here's an old build of mine. Box stock, built from a collection of parts from the early days of Ebay. It's sat next to an unbuilt, boxed example I found at the IPMS Telford UK show a few years back. Seeing the kit as I walked into the show saw me spend all my spare kit money in one hit! There was no way I was going to pass on that one. Here's the contents of the unbuilt kit. Monograms presentation was second to none. I have another box of parts that should be enough to build a car with the custom grill that also comes with the kit. I'll add that one to the 'To do list. Maybe I'll look on ebay for a roundtuit, I certainly need one of those!

Monograms ZZ Top '33 Coupe done as a kerbside model. Brush painted with Humbrol red enamel. The finish is OK at three feet. Get any closer and tiny bits of dust start to show. Enamel won't polish out, so this is as good as it gets for this build. It's slightly scary to think this model was released thirty three years ago! Billy seems to like it...

That has to be one of the cleanest General Lee builds I have seen. The improvements are well thought out and very convincing.

The red and blue go together really well. Beautiful finish as well.

I built these two back in the nineties. The '68 Road Runner is the AMT kit, the Super Bee the Monogram one. Both were painted with spray bomb car colors, flatted and rubbed out. The gloss has held up well over the years. The Road Runner is an out the box build. The Super Bee has had a bit of extra detail added to the engine bay. A few detail bits have been lost from the Super Bee over the years, hood pins, wheel valves and little bits like that. A freshen up is in order. Tony.

Greetings from the Flatlands of the UK, just outside of Ely. A bit about me... I'm a lapsed car modeller. American Hot Rods, Customs and Muscle from the twenties to the mid seventies in the main, although I stray off to aircraft now and again. I'm re-joining the clan after discovering the Round2 releases at last years Telford IPMS show. The '68 Road Runner box just blew me away. That one, plus a few others came home with me and I've been digging old kits out of long term storage and finding stuff I had forgotten I had! I'm a builder and a collector. My idea of heaven is to have a mint, unbuilt kit displayed next to built up examples of the same. That pretty much doubles the effort involved in getting to there, but I enjoy it anyway. Dealer and Store displays make me go a bit weak at the knees as well. I'm a great fan of Monogram kits from the early wooden ones right up to the re-releases and new issues, although I find it a bit odd to see old favorites in Revell boxes! I'm happy to build box stock or to add details. Both ways work just fine for me. I've been building and collecting all my life and have enjoyed every minute of it. I have a ton of stuff to post here but I'll take a good look around and get the feel of the place before I get stuck in. It looks like a very friendly place to be, with some quite outstanding models on show. Thanks for having me on board, I'm looking forward to taking part. Tony.
