  1. Hello all This is my Revell Ferrari 599 GTB and the first ferrari that I havent painted red. The paint is Duplicolor Royal Blue on top of Duplicolor silver. I custom mixed the interior color and airbrushed it (first time using an airbrush) and dulcoated the wheels since they arent chrome on the 1:1 car. Here are the pics Leave your comments/thoughts/suggestions. Thanks
  2. this might be kind of out there, but how about a t-top?
  3. Hello all This is my Dodge Ram VTS or "The Work Truck". This truck was made to tow my 55 Belair and built trailer combo so I wanted something that looked like it could tow it with ease so why not something w/ a V-10. I raised the rear suspension with square styrene cut into small blocks and thefront by lowering the spindles ( i raised the back a little more than the front to give it a slight rake). Since this was going to tow a trailer and be a work truck I thought it should have an automatic so I turned the floor shifter into a column shifter. Here are some pics Here are some pics of the trailer. The trailer is about 90% scratch built with only the tounge and wheels being from a model kit.
  4. This is my AMT Lamborghini Diablo. I painted it with Tamiya Brilliant orange and Model master clear coat. I really just made this model like I would have it in 1:1 so I added some steering wheel shift paddles from a ( shhh dont tell ) ferrari superamerica, a spoiler from a lotus esprit, and a scratchbuilt engine cover with SMS high def carbon fiber decals and some wheels from a mitsubishi eclipse kit. Here are some pics
  5. Hey look!! Theres Dirty Larry's Charger
  6. Here are some new pictures. I really didnt like the previous pictures and they pointed out a few things that needed to be fixed, especially the "rust" on the exhaust. So those problems are now fixed. plus I have some pics of the interior and wheels. Enjoy
  7. thanks. im going to post up some new pictures soon. i hate the way these turned out. ill remember to get some pics of the interior too.
  8. This is my 55' Belair ZR-1. This has had quite a bit of custom work done to it with most of the parts coming from the AMT 95 corvette ZR1 kit.I used the LT-5 engine and six-speed transmission, independent rear suspension, front suspension, seats, center console, exhaust, and steering wheel from it and the radiator is from a nascar kit. the wheels are from pegasus wheels and the brakes are from a Ferrari Superamerica.the paint and clear are duplicolor products. I really didnt do any big body mods, just shaved door handles and centerline on the hood sanded down. I have to say that this is my favorite model of my collection. Here are some pictures
  9. thanks for your guys help. I ordered a couple of sheets of Scale Motor Sports high definition carbon fiber decals so i think that might do the trick

  11. I'm pretty sure that the 2003-up Dodge Vipers have Tremec T-56 transmissions. so you could look in the revell kits for them. i could be wrong though.
  12. Alright, I am having trouble deciding an interior color for my 55' Chevy that would go with the color that I painted the body. So, to solve this problem I started a poll to get your guy's opinion about it. Here are a couple pictures to aid in your decsion
  13. i got a sheet of Model Master carbon fiber decals off the internet last month and decided to try them on the targa top of a lotus i was working on. it said on the instructions to clear coat them to prevent scrathes. so i tried the decals on the roof panel before i clear coated the decal and i couldnt apply the deacal without scratching it. so the next day when i put the clear coat on the decal it formed waves on the decal sheet and when it dried the waves were still there and the whole sheet was discolored and didnt look like carbon fiber anymore. so to make a long story short, i screwed up the decal sheet. does anybody know what i mightve done wrong or if i used the wrong clearcoat (i used duplicolor clear), or if maybe this brand isnt very good and i need to try something else. any help would be appreciated thanks
  14. I think I did pretty good model wise. I got the new Revell Ferrari 599 GTB and a nice plaque with a mirror on it to put the ferrari on when i finish it, the new tool Revell 55 Chevy,a Tamyia Porsche Carrera GT, and a Revell 92 Ford Mustang lowrider.

  20. when exactly is that 599 GTB supposed to be out. ive been wanting that kit forever
  21. i have built this kit too. i thought it was a little overwhelming too but i got through it ( althogh the body didnt fit good to the chassis). i use spray paint for the body, chassis, and interior. it goes quite quickly, just a day for the paint to dry and another day for the clear on the body to dry. and i brush paint everything else.
  22. Hey guys. I'm Cody from Morehead,KY (its next to a county somepeople like to call the armpit of the south, what would we be then?). I'm 14. I've been building models for about 3-4 years. I mostly like to build sports cars, exotics, trucks, and hot rods, and maybe the occasional tuner. And thats all I have to say about that.
