Hello all, this is my mid 90's model Chevy Silverado 1500. It is a model of an actual truck Boyd Coddington did for a rock singer so I think that says it all. Its pretty much box-stock build except for the wheels but it really didnt need anything else. It has a 350 LT-1 from a corvette, Independent Rear Suspension, 4 wheel disk brakes, and other goodies. Leave your thoughts/comments/suggestions. Thanks

If you have a Corvette show it off here Here are a few of mine... Corvette C6 Big Bad Z06 69 Vette

that is exactly what i did. i sanded down all the cables and bondoed all of it to make sure it was smooth. that back pannel took many test fits to make sure it was just right and the side window on the back i just made a template and cut it out of some clear plastic

thanks, i would like to see your deloreans and how you did them. i didnt have any steel paint to use on the front fascia. something funny is that when me and my grandpa were watchin the 2nd movie on tv he said that the 46 ford in the tunnel scene didnt sound like an actual 46 ford which was wierd.

These are a couple Deloreans I built a few months ago. They came as a part of a three pack of Back to the Future Deloreans I won off of Ebay. I built 2 of them and gave the other one to my brother-in-law who is a delorean fanatic. I made one as the Delorean from BTTF 1 and the other i converted from a curbside into sortof full detail with a ferrari flat-12 from a tesstarossa and Z06 wheels, brakes, and exhaust tips. Leave your thoughts/comments/suggestions thanks

Revell 69 Nova. Can This Be True?
bandit.93 replied to Len Woodruff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
i think that revell should birng back the ferrari f50. -
i feel your pain. on just about every model i do i have to put in a different engine, a set of wheels, new exhaust, brakes, interiors , something to make it different. after i get my Enzo done im going to change a ford gt into something like a special ferrari. im putting a f430 v8 in it with a supercharger, some body mods wheels, stuff to make it look sortof like a ferrari. im calling it the ferrari 438s. and i think u should do the SLR. besides corvettes, the SLR is my favorite car
-
lookin good i really like the fender flares.i think the 1st set of wheels look the best. how long have u had all those unbuilt models? cant believe u havent built the SLR Mclaren

Snap kits for kids?
bandit.93 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
this is true. my first model i built was a fast and the furious toyota supra about 2 or 3 years ago(im only 14) and loved the hobby ever since ( although the supra didnt turn out very good ). none of my friends like to make model cars which i think is pretty fun. i think the problem is that they(and im not just talking about my friends i mean all of us teenagers and kids alike) are impacent and want everything now. they cant stand sitting down for a few hours and working on a model car. they have to have something to entertain them. im not sure but thats just what i think -
What do you guys use to paint your model cars?
-
there is a really good site called www.hiroboy.com. they have turbos, air cleaners w/ pipes and just air filters. they even have full turbos with turbo, intercooler, and nitrous tank. although i havent seen any blowers.
-
i think so, thanks for the help
-
thanks what is the flat clear, i've never heard of that before
-
I was just wondering how to make chrome finish wheels into matte finish? And how do you guys make two tone interiors, do you just paint it with a brush or something else. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone with a ferrari, show it off here.

Hey, I really need some help. Every time I use the testors spray paint in the little can, it bubbles up and sometimes ruins the body of the model. Is there something im doing wrong or is it just a flaw with the spray. I usually use krylon fusion spray paint but there isnt alot of colors to choose from.Any help would be appreciated.

yeah I was thinking white would look good too and making the exhaust exit through the rocker panels. I have the exhaut tips from the viper i got the engine out of so maybe I'll mold those into the sides. Also what I was thinking of doing is painting the grille the same color as the body. Some thing else is the wheels, im not really sure what to do or what would look good.
