  1. The springs are the ones that came with the kit. I paint them with flat black and then Ill dry brush silver onto the raised sring coils. good you eoiy yuy
  2. yes i clear coat over the decals as soon as I'm satisfied with the color coat I then add about 3 thin coats of clear. I use plasti-kote paints for doing the bodies of my models. Most of the time I use rattle cans but this model I used my airbrush. Chuck
  3. No this isn't the Revell Part Pack bodythis is a reissue of the old MPC kit only being AMT now. It seems to me like there's something not the same but I cann't say what it is and I may be thinking the Winged Express kit
  4. When I started this kit I was going to build it box stock but then I was trying to drill out the end of the headers to make them look better and the drill blew out the side so I had to make new heards from aluminum tubing and my box stock creation became this. I found a better fuel pump in my parts box. and then detailed the roadster with everything I could think of. Chuck

  6. Thanks for all the kind words. The hood stands are aluminum tubing with piano wire epoxied inside them then small holes drilled to make sure they stay were I want them to. Chuck
  7. here is my attempt at seriously customizing. I'm still working on the interior, chassis and finishing the engine. I molded in stacked headlights, chopped the roof(had to cut it into 7 pieces and add 6 plastic strips to get it to fit back together), and a section was taking from the hood to give it a sleaker look the hood and I gave it a "special" paint job. When I first started this model it was going to be a pro street so the chassis and the rear fenders were cut up then I changed my mind and went for the custom look so I took the chassis and the rear fenders from AMT's 40 Ford Coupe to correct my hack job. Now as you can see I'm trying to correct my hack job on the interior. In the last picture you can see the difference in the stock hood and the one I cut up. Hope you like.
  8. This is my 69 Camaro 427 I used parts from the Revell Baldwin-Motion and Yenco Camaros for this build. The grill was opened from the rear. Hope you enjoy!
