  1. Of course we're reading and watching, for a beginner you're doing a great job., what is this, your second model? I wish I had the skills you've got on my second one, I was a glue-bomber for a loooong time!
  2. For an old dog of a kit, you did a great job John, don't diminish your skills, that kit's tough to make look good. And that is also the reason you don't see nearly as many '67 & '68 Camaro builds, they're both based off of this kit, while the Revell '69's are newer and much better tooling (On both the hardtop and Convertible). I'd love to see a new-tool '67 & '68 out of any company, I love a '68 Camaro, it's the best looking of the first generation IMO.
  3. There's some awesome work already shown by everyone, let's see if I can add anything to the thread.... Revell Shelby Series 1 AMT '70 1/2 Baldwin-Motion Camaro AMT '67 Impala SS427 Revell '99 Eclipse Revell '67 Corvette AMT '50 Chevy Pickup Revell '08 Shelby GT500KR And a close up of the Shelby dash before it was installed... And lastly, Revell's '06 Magnum
  4. Looks great so far Paul, I love the yellow on it too! What did you use for the shielded ignition wires? II used normal wire because I couldn't find anything that look right, you've gotta tell me where you found that stuff!
  5. Awesome work on the grille Andy, I'm gonna have to keep that in mind when I try to make one again! I love the color choice, it should look great on this baby!
  6. Another wild one from your fertile imagination Ira, I can't wait for the next update!
  7. Looks great so far Luis, the use of Carbon Fiber is nice and understated too! A helpful hint for this one though, cut the side windows loose and trim the bottom edges up a bit, otherwise they interfere with the chassis and interior mounting cleanly with the body. Mine gave me fits until I did that, after cutting them loose and trimming them up, it went together beautifully!
  8. That, Alyn, is the understatement of the century!
  9. I was a child of the '70's, in the Chicago area, which meant you were shut in most of the winter. Everyone had an Uncle or Father that built models, and as a 5 year old lad I thought that I could do the same, so I ruined quite a few of the old Revell Tri-Five Chevies. It wasn't until I got back into the car side of the hobby back in '94 that I got good at it, maybe my years in between building Military stuff helped!
  10. Dang Wayne, that's gonna look sweet when it's all smoothed out and painted!
  11. It's a tough one, I love both the Torino and GTX...but I'm gonna have to say the GTX wins by a hair. It looks really, really good in that color!
  12. If you can pull off the white painted stripes, go for it, it'll look great with white stripes!
  13. Nah, the car just wanted me dead. It jumped into reverse all the time. When it backed up at high speed in my driveway and hit the oak tree with the drivers door (The door folded in half and buried itself in the fender with my left leg hanging out of the door at the time), I decided it was time to go. I enjoyed watching that pig get crushed, my '72 Charger was a better car anyway!
  14. Killer Ira, it just looks so cool!
  15. Great work Al! I had a 1:1 in nearly the same color, same hood (But with a paltry 340), and a vinyl top), that car was possessed by the Devil, I had to scrap it before it killed me!
  16. The best version of this kit I've seen, great work on a real dog!
  17. What colors are on the decal sheet Kevin? Black and white are always good choices on red, but white depends on how well printed the decals are, you don't want pink! Great color choice too, I need to find me some of that, along with some DY3 for my '72 Charger replica!
  18. I've used Keith's stuff for many years now, and I always shoot a coat or two of Testors Decal Bonder on 'em before i use 'em. It's worked out great for me so far!
  19. Beautiful work as usual Bruno! Kyle, I had a 1:1 '72 Charger, same color body, white vinyl top, and a dark green interior, completely original from the factory. Ma Mopar could pump out some strange color combinations for sure!
  20. Juan, it's your build, do it how you want! If you're going for an exact replica, then go with the silver, if you want to see it in '50's aqua, then go for it, this hobby is all about doing what you want to your dream cars, so there is no wrong way to build one!
  21. Nothing like jumping into the deep end Juan! This should be a good one, take your time and you should have a great looking model when it's all said and done!
  22. Wow, just simply wow...
  23. Oh man, that is a pretty Blue Casey, go with that!
  24. Beautiful work as usual John, the fogging along the panel lines really stands out in the sunlight! Another masterpiece my friend, I can't wait for the next one!
