  1. Great recovery on the peeled paint Damir, the whole build is looking great! The sticker-bombing of the spoiler was a great idea too!
  2. This should be a cool custom Kenneth, bring it on!
  3. I'll bet you don't have a chassis fit issue next time!
  4. Josh, for your first custom, it came out beautifully! Congrats, now get busy on the next one!
  5. Josh, I know all too well how hard it is to pull off a successful custom build, so even with the problems you had, the next one you tackle will come out better. Most people give up once the problems pile up on a custom, but you finished it off, so you're a step ahead of the pack. They get easier and easier with each successful one, so keep at it, eventually you learn to plan for things like the chassis fit issue you had on this one! BTW, It came out looking great from this side of the monitor!
  6. Gorgeous Kevin, this is gonna pick up some hardware for sure!
  7. Simply beautiful Doug! Wanna trade?
  8. Sonny, the interior for this one is the same as the convertible, both started life as promos, so to save money AMT just tooled up the convertible interior for both. It's pretty common among the old AMT kits unfortunately...
  9. Bruce, you have built one of the nicest '32's I've ever seen, congratulations! One question though, what kit has those mufflers in it?
  10. Great work on the added details under the hood Sonny, that's gonna look great when it's finished!
  11. Al, as neutered as the GTX was by that point, would it really have been that big of a step up from the Satellite other than in name and a bit more horsepower? I had a '71 Road Runner with a 340 4 barrel, and it was a slug (Not to mention it was possessed by Satan, but that's another story), my 318 2 barrel '72 Charger was faster, and it loved my and didn't want me dead! Any way you look at it, it's a beautiful model, what ever happened to the 1:1?
  12. Kevin, that interior is beautiful! The body looks great in platinum, and the engine looks awesome! The overspray on the negative cable is a nice touch, but things like that always make me question will it be worth it? Most judges wouldn't know that it was supposed to be like that and would probably ding you for doing it....but a good judge (And Mopar fanatic) will see it and give you mucho credit!
  13. If you can find the Revell Parts Pack 427 you should be set, they show up on E-Bay all the time for a decent price. I just picked up a pair of these, one for a NASCAR build, and one done my way! EDIT: the 390 these guys mentioned from the Fairlane is a great engine, get one of those if you want a really well done engine. I haven't built the 427 from the Fairlane kit yet, but if it's as good as the 390, it would be great in the Galaxie! Here's a link to one of the Parts Pack 427's for $5! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Revell-Parts-Pack-Hot-Rod-1-25-Scale-Kit-Ford-427-CI-V8-Engine-/310710407902?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item4857c892de
  14. Randy, you went and did it, you broke me, i've run out of adjectives to describe what I've seen...this is just simply the work of a true artist, bravo!
  15. 7-10 days for each? Tulio, you are incredible! Each of those is a work of art, i can't even decide on what rims to use in that time!
  16. Doug, you got the stripe on the quarters, I didn't, which irks me to no end. My two-tone was just to try and hide my mistake, hopefully keeping people from noticing the missing stripe!
  17. You want honest opinions, right Doug? OK, I hate you, yours looks so much better than mine, you must have cheated!
  18. Are those the kit carbs Seth? If so, I really need to snag one of these babies to steal the carbs from! As for colors, I always liked the Mopar High-Impact colors, a nice Sublime Green or Plum Crazy would make this baby look sweet!
  19. I'm waiting, bring it on brother!
  20. Beautiful work Chris, I thought it was real in the first pic too, that's some great work!
  21. Look out everybody, Ira's at it again! I've got my lawn chair and a cold one, bring on the putty and paint!
  22. Nice start Jason, take your time and it'll come out looking as good as the real thing!
  23. Jason, that T-Bird scoop looks awesome on this! The nerf bars are a nice touch too, the front end looks so much cleaner now, I can't wait to see more!
  24. Pat, it looks awesome! The hood and new nose look so good now that it's all covered in paint, and the tail lights are gonna look so sweet when you put the lenses in there!
