  1. Beautiful work Craig, I wish I had gotten my gauges to look as good as yours, you have skills!
  2. Gorgeous Ken, simply gorgeous!
  3. I'm now the official head of the Sean Haters Club! That is awesome Sean, I would never leave the cave if I had something like that, just gimme a bed, bathroom and fridge with a microwave and I'm there for life!
  4. Tommy, were did you get these, and do they make other cool stuff for me to spend money on?
  5. Good to see you back at the bench Johann, that grille is incredible! Great work on the rest, but I just can't get past the grille, that had to be extremely tedious!
  6. Yup, I'll be waiting by the mailbox,,,in Mother's dress and a wig!
  7. Absolutely gorgeous Alyn! The engine is a true work of art, the grille is stunning, hell, it's just right for my display case, send it on over!
  8. Beautiful paint, and perfect foil work Andrew, she looks perfect!
  9. Absolutely gorgeous paint Ken, you nailed this baby!
  10. Well, these two still haven't done as well as everyone who sees them thinks they should, but at the CKM NNL last month, they did get photographed for a magazine you may have heard of...
  11. Nice start Tony, I wish my 4th paint job had come out as well.Enjoy this one, it's a great kit!
  12. Thanks Roy, but compared to Casey, I've got a looong way to go. Casey, just how did you get that done without the glue seeping between the vents? That is some beautiful work my friend, bravo!
  13. Killer idea Chuck, I like it!
  14. Thanks for the tip! The stock version will be easy to fix, the hood and trunk need to be re-painted anyhow (Model Master '50's Pink is hard to match!), the Street Machine will not get fixed, I forgot what color I used on it!
  15. I've built two of this kit (This one and the Street machine), and both had the same problem, so i figured it was on all of 'em!. Nice to know I can use a bit of heat to get it to sit right. especially since they're painted!
  16. Bill, I was shocked when I bought one of this kit, it is beautifully done to say the least! The only issue I've ever had with this kit is the trunk lid...it has a bow in it, which causes it to be raised at the center where it meets the tulip panel. It's not an issue if you build it with the trunk displayed open, which is always an option with this kit. There's also a Street Machine version (Blue model on the box) which comes with a mini-tubbed chassis, some different parts for the engine, rims, slicks, different frame & exhaust, fuel cell, and a quasi-four link rear end. Both are hidden gems that didn't sell very well, probably due to the fact that most people didn't know it was an all-new tooling.
  17. Oh c'mon Oscar, it'll look awesome in Sublime Green and you know it! Go with the white rims, no matter what color you pick, they'll look good on it!
  18. Ken, I have no idea how you could make the LED turn signals, you're on your own there buddy...but if you can pull it off, it'll be cool!
  19. Wow, that nails it! Just a suggestion, I'd go with Model Master Metalizer Aluminium Plate for the finish on that part, it'll buff up nicely and look just about identical to the 1:1 part! Here's what it looks like once it's buffed out. (It's on the exhaust) If you're looking for a more satin finish, use Tamiya Flat Aluminum, here's how it looks out of the can...
  20. Man, this is gonna be a killer model! Great work getting the chassis in there so well, and the ride height looks prefect!
  21. Daniel, my '80 RS was turned into a racer by the guy I sold it to after smoking the engine. Turns out that little Fox-body was a popular car for the small NASCAR tracks down here in the south!
  22. Dante, I've got an older one from HF (Almost 10 years old), and it has no temp control or fan, just vents in the lid. The temperature stays between 100-105F, and the only thing I've ever warped was an old body I left in for 24 hours...my mistake. Clears dry at the same rate as colors, it just depends on the type of clear used, lacquer, enamel, etc. Here's a shot of my old warhorse in use last night with a nail polish paint job....it took about an hour to get the paint cured!
  23. This will be a great one to watch, bring it on ken!
  24. I'll be there, I've been trying to make it for years, and this year it's finally come together!
