  1. I received this old kit from my sister for Christmas last year. It is an old kit (1963) and it came with a display stand.

I decided to display this one wheels up with torpedo released from her mount. I also made my own prop blurs using clear film sheet, painted the blurs. Quite easy to make using a bladed circle compass and nip off the prop blades from its spinners.

In the past I have ordered paperback books and other small items from Amazon and they come in a huge box with the items wrapped in bubble wrap. Last week I ordered the AMT Groove Boss super-modified and it was shipped in a paper bag.  There was no damage to the contents, but it is really frustrating.  Makes me wonder how much they pay their shipping department.

Did you send a complaint to Amazon for stupidity packaging? Demand another kit packaged in a BOX.

I don't watch football but from what I see from headlines and read about football I have to blame the media. They're obsessed with her and can't seem to report on a Kansas City game without saying something.

Even the Grammys were obsessed with her. Showing her mug at least 20 plus times.  Turn it off when she won Album of the year.

    An excellent entertainer!

    Will Dearly Miss him!

.....absolutely terrible the Academy would NOT acknowledge his talents!!

    You mean the Oscars?

That academy awards show is filled with dirty politics on the inside. I stopped watching that farce 20 plus years ago

Following the rules is the same thing.

But the rules and regs for an EV race would be different than an ICE race, as would the format of the race.

Shorter races work just fine for other race series. BTCC, DTM, Formula E, Formula2, Formula 3, etc. Even the existing feeder series within the world of NASCAR are shorter than the main series.

If NASCAR were to bring out a separate e-race, it would by necessity be a shorter race, and would be an addition to a race weekend. eNASCAR would never replace "real" NASCAR.

I'm somewhat surprised at how many people are upset at and against the possibility that there could be more types of racing in the future.

Who's upset? Not I. Im not even beating a dead horse on this issue.

Just stating the obvious scenario. The head-on test crash doesn't say how fast he was going. It certainly didn't look like he's going over 100mph. Sure... it's an EV truck - not an EV automobile.

Average speed for NASCAR cars is around 140 - 180 mph. An EV average is anywhere from 110 - 120.

Throw in a high performance modified  into a NASCAR EV, it has the ability to push over 200 - 220 mph on a race track. Thus my logic the higher the speed, the more potential of a tragic accident. Nothing compared to Earnhart's crash - just worse especially with a heavier high performance automobile.

Let's not forget... thinner shell of race car bodies with rollcage. You really have to ask yourself... is it enough to keep the driver safe and alive - especially pushing over 200 mph and losing control of the automobile before hitting head-on to a wall or a multi roll barrel roll?

It's really simple logical thinking of what can happen. Obviously some folks - especially NASCAR don't want to admit those possibilities on those scenarios.

At 19:18, did he say they were going to do a Warlock in 1/18 scale? That's different

Another AMT trailer reissue. They just re-did the Great Dane reefer trailer a year or so ago, so I guess it was due for another?

Yeah, I thought they got the lighting wrong in this video. Too bright, washes out some detail.

I did the Warlock kit in my early teen years. Rest assure, it is NOT 1/18 scale.

I planned on getting the Warlock kit again. The Coronet, Nova, long nose Mustang, the ‘72 and ‘60 Vette are definitely on my radar.

  7. I had a decent sized box filled with spare parts - everything from engine blocks to radiator hoses and oil filters. Had another with tires of all.kinds with wheel backs and rims of all sorts. Tossed them when I moved in my house in 1998. Didn't think I was going to return to this hobby then. Now I wished I hadn't tossed them in the trash.

I had another box filled with militaria spares - missiles, belly tanks, bombs, wheels, stowage items, etc...

Here’s an older EV crash with an Audi E-Tron SUV, ran a light and clipped a car that had the right of way. The battery broke free of the vehicle and slid into the median as the vehicle cartwheeled into someone’s front lawn.

Another irrelevant video. You can't really see it because the crash is too far behind as the dashcam driver is nowhere near the crash site.  Doesn't show the end result upon impact.

Here's a pretty violent EV crash.

    No explosions, no fires.

But I'm sure the organizers are looking at the safety measures and emergency equipment they would need to have on hand should a fire break out. Just like in other racing, crashes and fires do sometimes happen, and everyone needs to be able to manage it.

Irrelevant.... certainly not an oval race track related crash.

The YouTube link is titled EV Test Crash. It's a straight head-on test crash. Doesn't prove a d*** thing.

I dunno, but NASCAR's been a snoozefest to me for years, ever since all the cars became pretty much the same, with nothing "production" or "stock" about 'em.

    BO-ring.

BO-ring squared if they're running on batteries.

But hey...that's just me. I've got gasoline running in my veins.

NASCAR is boring to me too. Watching a bunch of race cars going in circles... yeah reeeaal exciting.

I've always called NASCAR a redneck sport. ROFL !

Now Motocross dirt bike racing I'll watch. Different class of motocross events. Watching the start gun go off and a mass of bikes bunch up, a few crash, get right back up and go. Gotta love the big air hotdogging when they cross the finish line.
