this design is very interesting
not an expert - but I think Pinnin proposed both front and rear engine designs to Ferrari - when? - in '67 ?
this car carries design features from both the rear engine proto - the Dino - and the fr engine prototypes ....
so it's a mutt
but a very pretty one ....
the coachbuild forum is devious - lots of rabbit holes to crawl down ...
The de Rethy car styling is a continuation of Pinifarina's top of the line extended nose/ oval opening started in 1957 with the Superfast; and used in all special coachbuilt cars as the 1964 500 Superfast and 1966 365 California Spyder. However, it incorporated the extended C-pillar of the upcoming 1968 Dino. Pf stylists are not well known, but I think all are the work on Aldo Brovarone.

Check my drawing, which I've done in 1/24th to help visualize the model and dimension the parts I will replace. The roof and the rear of the model will be built of high density urethane.

What about the rear end off a Dino? Would that be closer?

Thank you, I found this. There is a kit in 1:24 in existence? Is the kit common?
The 1//24th kit was made by Marcelllo Figliozzi several years ago and is very good. Don't know if it would be available, PM me for his email.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a question about this Maserati clone. Is it possible from using the photos on this site if this car can be 3D printed into a 1:25 scale parts for master parts. I see I can get a 1:43 diecast or a 1:18 diecast. I would really prefer 1:25/1:24 scaled parts for molds.
Are you interested in a model of that Maserati clone or a Maserati A6G? A Maserati A6G in 1/24 has been produced. I see no reason to make a model of the clone.

Leather seats - difficult to work when wrapping around corners. Wrinkles. Easier to work in 2 dimensions.
